Barr officially enters race for Libertarian Party's nomination
http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2008/05/barr-officially.html

Saying that none of the other presidential candidates are talking about the most important issues -- including what he sees as the need to "re-shape this country in the image of our Founding Fathers" -- former Republican Rep. Bob Barr of Georgia just officially he is entering the race for the Libertarian Party's presidential nomination.

USA TODAY's David Jackson, who is at Barr's press conference in Washington, says Barr also declared that Americans "deserve better" than what they've been getting from elected officials in Washington.

Barr, 59, served in Congress from 1995 to 2003. He announced last month that he had formed an "exploratory committee." His campaign website is here.

And with that.......President Obama. :)

10. He'll be breaking Obama's balls in a debate.
But he'll also probably bust McCain too.

13. I don't mind if he breaks Obamas nads, because it'll make Obama come out with his populism which...
...McSame will be derided for.

18. Barr and the libertarians are a much bigger deal than Gravel.
People still know who Barr is. Also, the libertarians are good for around 400,000 votes. Barr can probably triple that easily.

15. Then all we could ask for
...would be for him to pick Ron Paul as a running mate. McCain would instantly lose any hope of bringing all the Paultards into the fold and Paul is 'unconventional' enough to actually do it.

20. Great News
Some Republicans hate Mccain.Just like some of us hate Lieberman(although we have more to hate him)
remember In PA,and Indiana you had Republicans come out to vote for Paul,Romney, and Huckabee and Mccain ahs long ago clinced the nomination.Remember back In the 90's Barr used to screm about the
Clinton's abuses of power, and If he screams about some of Bush's abuses he could take some votes
from Mccain.

21. You have to wonder what he's thinking.
He must realize that he doesn't stand a chance and that he'll likely be a spoiler for McCain.

This is excellent news!
