HRC has extremely high negatives. She is also one of our party's MOST polarizing figures. Hillary as VP would be like a bush/cheney WH: Do you think Hillary (Hill/Bil, actually)l would be satisfied to be second in line?) Nope - Bill and Hill would try to be in command, like Cheney -- that's NOT what we want or what we need. Not to forget: there are SO many others that are much more qualified. If she wasn't married to an ex-pres, realistically, she would not have lasted past February. Putting her on the ticket would most likely destroy any chance we have this November.

Obama/Clinton=Mccain 2008.

The whole idea is so wrong

And, Thank You, Thank You! Lovely person whoever you are for you extreme generosity. I am grateful.

1. Don't worry. Hillary has as much chance of being #2 on the ticket as she has of being #1

3. I hope you're right. I know 8 pro-Obama friends & family members who won't vote 4 him if Hill is VP.

5. See --
And they're Democrats.

She has virtually no support among Independents.

6. Actually, 7 are Dems and 1 Independent, but they all say the same thing . . .
Hillary as VP is the ONLY thing Obama can do to lose their vote. I have a feeling there are lots of people out there who think the same way. I can't believe anyone still considers her a viable presidential contender after the Rovian way she ran her campaign. She'd be a much better running mate with McCain that with Obama.

7. It is not so far fetched
She has high negatives yet still trounces McCain in Electoral match-ups.
Perhaps, just maybe, both Hillary and Bill are not power hungry monsters and actually care about this country.
Hillary has more than proven herself to be qualified for the VP slot.
Perhaps Hillary made a name for herself despite being someone else's wife.

Hillary was able to stay in this race because a lot of people across this country thought she was a damned good candidate. Many of those folks are damned fine people and working with them isn't such a bad idea.

Just get Carville and lock him up in room for a week or two and tell him to come up with a plan to fix the "3am" and other post Texas damage.

8. I was trying to remember how I felt when LBJ went VP for Kennedy
I really can't remember. I guess it wasn't that important to me at the time as I was only 16 then and didn't even think about what a VP meant to a President. After the fact it made it obvious that there was something dark about the connection they had. I never knew the hatred they both held for each other for many years. I hope we don't make that mistake again! I am not in favor of Hillary for VP. She is not a good fit for change!

9. I was 13 then -- and we hanged them both in effigy
It was LBJ that my friends and I really hated, but we made a sort of rag doll with a photo of LBJ on the front and then figured we might as well tack JFK on the other side, just to show we were pretty outraged with him as well, and hang them both.

That was late July, I guess, and it wasn't until the first of the debates, about 3 months later, that I got over being pissed and came around to Kennedy. I still think in retrospect that it was a really bad move.

10. Her negatives are so high she has had over 16 million people vote for her?
I just don't get that thinking. I think we have to remember that DU is not representative of the average voter. We are a bit more crazy about politics than most. Obama will have to figure out how to win the Clinton supporters over or he will not win the GE. He may need to choose her imo.
