Oh, screw you, MSNBC pundits....Grrrrr!
I just watched the discussion on who would be the best VP for Obama...Out of all the possible choices (Webb, Sebelius, Strickland, etc.), they chose...

CHUCK HAGEL (R)

:puke: :puke: :puke:

7. He's no longer a Republican......
But I'm sure that Obama will choose wisely, whomever he chooses.

Glad the pundits are talking about GE issues though.....better than them making Hillary winning WV being anything different than Obama winning Washington D.C.

Out of all of the Republicans that I can think of in congress, he's probably the most honorable....even if I don't agree with most of his views.

material imo.
His anti-war platform is just fine with me though.

19. exactly FC
he's as much of a republican as LIEberman is a democrat. I've been wondering if McCain would be stupid enough to actually CHOOSE Holy Joe for a running mate-that would absolutely guarantee our winning in November

wouldn't either. These pundits are just way off base a lot of the time.

13. Reading his wikipedia page, he seems to believe that certain issues are above politics
"National security is more important than the Republican Party or the Democratic Party. And to use it to try and get someone elected will ultimately end up in defeat and disaster for that political party."

16. I like some of Hagel's ideas, and I think some of them are purely shitty...but...its a better idea
then asking McCain to be on the ticket in 04.

I also think, just purely hypothetically, that he's a stronger choice then putting Hillary in the VP slot.

20. Get ready for twenty or fifty, maybe more .....
"CLARKIES" to descend upon this post. They came out of the woodwork in 2004 when we had the Dean/Kerry smack down to insert themselves as the front runners. When that didn't work, they insisted the party would be lost without him as the VP candidate.

They are nice enough people, but they have become a phenomenon and an enigma to me at this point.

22. Looks like he's a huge foreign policy guy. Also a vietnam vet.

In Senator Hagel's new book, America: Our Next Chapter, he suggests that the United States should adopt independent leadership and possibly another political party. He also believes that the Iraq War is one of the five biggest blunders in history. Hagel is critical of George W. Bush's foreign policy, calling it "reckless." He has been a major critic of the war since it started, and has stated that the United States should learn from their mistakes in the Vietnam War. He considers Bush's foreign policy a "ping pong game with American lives".

She interrupted everyone with just pure babble, especially willie geist. Joe scumborough wasn't there and she took full advantage of it. She drowned out everybody with pure psycho babble and prattling.

Before I get my ass jumped for watching joe scab, please let me explain. I am early riser and the only alternate is C-Span callers who are either 109 years old or drunk, so I opt to watch (mostly listen) to this train wreck.
