Two more female Hillary supporters "of a certain age," converts to Obama!

When I called my Grandmother yesterday (89 years old, god bless her), I mentioned the primary in passing and was amazed to hear her perspective on Clinton's performance this last week was quite similar to mine. "I hope he wins now," she said "after all, HE has never said 'certain people aren't going to vote for me' or 'certain people aren't going to vote for my opponent.' We need his style of campaigning against the Republicans." And this was a woman who was all for Hillary back in February!

Later in the day, my mother confirmed she had been leaning in the same direction for some time. As a woman, she empathizes with Hillary, but at the same time she dislikes how divisive and negative her campaign has become. And don't get her started on Bill--she (grudgingly) forgave him for the Lewinsky mess in '99, but not for his performance this year...she now feels Obama can win and will win big against McCain.

So there you go--two older ladies in California, both of them lifelong Democrats, now firmly in Obama's camp--I couldn't ask for a nicer Mother's Day present!

My Mom has been an Obama supporter from the beginning.

She is almost 90 and every day when she wakes up she'll say,

" How's Obama doing today?"

She adores him.
