some time.

In point of fact, the protester shown in the famous pic was a constituent in Democratic Rep. Jim Moran's congressional district, and the point of the protest was to object to something Moran had done, not call any group of people "morons." The only mistake the freeper (if he was one; no proof has ever been offered one way or another) made was one of punctuation, not spelling.

I know this for a fact because my wife was there that day and actually spoke to the protester in question, but folks hate myth-busters no matter what the subject, so I'm sure I'll get about ten million special-pleading replies about why that just isn't so.

Not in Virginia. I should know because it was taken on 3rd street, outside the Boeing plant during a counter-protest, this guy was a member of that protest, they were protesting anti-war protesters who were trying to block the entrance to the plant.

here on DU, I figured it could have been anywhere in the area, then I noticed the background, and I thought it looked too familiar, and yep, it was 3rd Street, AKA Highway 94. In my area, it's a street that has 3 different names, outside St. Charles city limits, its State Highway 94, on the south side of St. Charles, its called "First Capitol Drive" St. Charles was the First Capitol of Missouri. And on the north side of town, its 3rd street until it passes city limits again, and then its Highway 94 again.
