1. I think we want to be careful of this

I think his age is a legitimate issue, but when you start mocking him, rather than presenting it as a substantive issue, you start to generate sympathy from some people.

I'm old too -- not as old as McCain -- and I think he's too old to be president. But I don't like the idea of a bunch of 30-somethings mocking old people.

6. I actually agree with you, and gave it some thought before posting OP

But I believe it's crucial to start uniting Obama & Hillary supporters. Right now, it seems easiest to do that with humor and at the expense of McCain.

When the general starts for real, however, your point is spot on about treating this issue with kid gloves.

3. This reminds me of something funny.....

some years ago, my daughter worked for a carpet cleaning place. One day she and the other person working got the giggles, and they started a list called "You know you're a senior if......". My favorite happened to be "You know you're a senior if you're cruise control is set on 40...permanently!"
