Of course, Tweety wet his pants about his admiration for Huckabee, but it WAS refreshing to hear a Repug say that an apology that includes "sorry IF I offended anybody. . . " is not good enough. As Huckabee said, the statement was offensive on its face - and the apology wasn't good enough.

Anyway, just now on MSNBC. It grinds my grits when I hear that "IF I offended anybody" non-apology crap, so I give credit where credit is due on this one.

2. Kudos for Huckabee for denouncing religious prejudice. Too bad he dissed Mormons.
Maybe he learned a lesson from his little "Mormons think Jesus and Satan are brothers" smear on Mormonism. Or maybe he's just a smart pol who realizes hatred of Catholics is political idiocy, while spewing bile against Mormons shores up more votes that it loses.

No doubt Huckabee's a little different than the usual anti-everything conservatives his party usually fawns over. I'd like to think so. But this still doesn't make him any less wrong on most issues.
