Hillary's watch party in WV looks like a funeral
Edited on Tue May-13-08 06:43 PM by spotbird
I've been to more than a few watch parties for losing candidates, and I've seen winning ones on TV. Hillary's tonight does not have the energy of a winner. People are drifting in, although MSNBC reports the candidate will be there soon for a victory speech.

5. If it includes the words
I am suspending my campaign and I am supporting Barack Obama it will be the greatest speech ever.

Till McCain has to utter the words President Elect Obama.

32. consider:they predicted 80-90%. They will get about sixty. That is 20-30% less
than projected in a sure thing state. Consider that she lost 7% to John Edwards as well. She did very poorly in terms of projections, much worse than bad.

4. Yea bad planning they knew it would be called early
But I remember the same thing happening to Obama in NC. I think it has a lot to do with the volunteers working up until the las minute and coming in then.

9. I think he was waiting for her to speak first, or to see the results in IN
It didn't feel like the Obama campaign was caught unprepared the
night he won NC ... An empty ballroom at 7:30 on a night like this
shows faulty planning (AGAIN!) on the part of the Clinton campaign.

7. Wait, weren't they EXPECTING an early call on this race????
Why an empty ballroom at 7:30? Even in the final days of
her campaign, they just can't get it right ... Wonder if
entertainment will be provided by the "You and Me For
Hillary" ensemble ...

:puke:

Don't they usually have drinks and snacks? When you are $20M+ in debt, I should think a few hundred more wouldn't matter, but what the hey!

14. I was listening to the Bill Press show last night.
(I work at night, so I have no choice but to listen to him).

Bill Press is a very big Hillary supporter. Last night, some pundit from CNN came on, and gave Bill the Bad News. He said, "you have to understand, it's over for Hillary. It's Over".

As the pundit was talking, Bill was saying in a low voice, "No, No, no...." - you could actually hear the desperation, the disbelief as the pundit was talking.

Later in the program, Bill Press was insisting that Obama MUST take Hillary as his V.P.
Delusional.

but he's so uninformed and wrong on so many subjects. Between that and the non-stop cheerleading for Hillary's failed campaign, I had to turn him off to preserve my sanity.

But I am still curious to see a wide shot of the crowd.

Like others, I expect that for this to be the "greatest speech ever," she is going to concede to Barack Obama.

Her speech is so flat I couldn't bare to watch it.

Who is listening?
Wake me when it's over.
