False. Hillary, like Bill, will win West Virginia.
Kerry couldn't, Gore couldn't and Obama certainly can't. But a certain type of Democrat can win the state, and HIllary is that Democrat.

West Virginia is overwhelming Democratic.

West Virginia is an overwhelming Democratic state.

Hillary leads in the latest West Virginia poll by 5 points.

It's a real shame there's no way we can ever run the
'92 and '96 elections again sans Ross Perot. I'm
pretty sure that would prove that he's a major
factor in why Clinton ever won, and this year,
Ross won't be helping (although, FSM willing,
Bob Barr will be).

138. More than likely...
if Bill had got the BJ and told the truth avoiding impeachment then Jeb/Harris/ wouldn't have had a close enough race to pull it off. At the end of the day it was only about a 540 vote difference.

But, Bill and Hillary have some issues with telling the truth, have had for years. Now, it just becomes more and more apparent everyday.

Did she concede tonight like some pundits suggested last week, or is she still on her one woman mission to tear the party apart because she didn't get her nomination she thought was her turn to lie and get? I personally think she is now doing this out of pure spite. There is no other explaination. I have Grand Kids that will never hear a good word about them two from my mouth. Thank God, I won't have to hold my nose and vote for her just for party unity as she can't win the Primary. What did she get...like 10 whopping delegates during a Primary geared for her? About what Obama picks up every 2 days? And that cost SOMEONE how many $millions?

Congrats. on Hill's. landslide victory. What a shock. Thats the best I can do.

52. If Gore carried VA, WY or any of the other states Obama trounced Hillary in
he would have "won" too. So what? Dukakis won WV in the g.e. and we know what that did in the electoral college. Kerry won the WV primary and didn't win it in the g.e.

What is your point?

162. Excuse me, but Gore DID win the 2000 election.
And, if Clinton was leading in pledged delegates, popular vote, superdelegates, number of states won, and had at this point lost WV by a big margin she would still be the presumptive nominee of the Democratic party.

168. If Gore carried ANY OTHER STATE he didn't carry he would have won.
The final tally was 271 to Shit-for-Brains and 266 to Gore. Since three is the lowest number of electoral votes allocated to any state (DC only gets 2) any state would have sufficed.

OBAMA'S base is eroding?

So when does this tide of new Clinton supporters swing the candidacy her way? She had to win 90+% in WV and she didn't even do that with significant chunks of Obama's "eroding" base!

137. What are you inhaling? Pray tell! For a former Obama supporter, you really
are obnoxious. You can change your allegiance, free speech, but must you be this horrible? Some of the supporters on both sides spew crap, but you take the crown. You must have been nasty from the beginning. Takes a hater like you to spew so much crap against a candidate like you are doing! You make me sick!

150. Laughable, of course, but consider how these Clintonists will behave during President Barack's first
crisis of whatever type.

I expect a full destabilization & sabotage campaign by the Clintonists in tandem with the Cheneyist Sleeper Cells planted throughout the Federal agencies.

171. Hate to pile on, but I was thinking the same thing...
A Democrat must win in November. What if Obama can't? These two quotes are from cannonfire.

This is from Left Coaster:
Let's close with some observations on Nebraska. Nebraska held a primary yesterday not just for the Republican party but also for the Democratic party - the latter being irrelevant when it comes to delegates but important to assess the impact of caucuses v. primaries. When Nebraska held its Democratic caucus on Super Tuesday (Feb), the turnout was around 38760 and Sen. Obama won the caucus 68%-32%, giving him a popular vote margin of almost 14000 votes. Yesterday, the primary attracted 93161 voters and the result was 49-47% in favor of Sen. Obama, with Mike Gravel taking up the remaining 4%. In other words, a 36-point caucus victory was reduced to a 2-point primary victory for Sen. Obama along with a much lower popular vote margin of just ~2600 votes.

This is from Anglachel:

In contest after contest, we see him failing to turn out the massive numbers that his allegedly unstoppable movement says they command. We see dominance in highly restrictive caucuses. We see him turning out super-majorities of AA voters. We see him dominating urban areas where you have upper income liberals. We see the college aged children of those liberal families voting in university areas.

Help me out here to see what I am not seeing. If this is true and he loses the states in the GE that he won by caucus and he loses some of the big states won by Hillary, where does victory come from?

Look also here at the electoral college projections:
http://www.electoral-vote.com /

It looks like Obama will be the nominee, but is that a sure defeat?
