Obama currently has AT LEAST 36%
per MSNBC. Doesn't matter now. Hillary needed an 80/20 victory. Not even 70/30 now and it's early.

Congrats Hillary but......

NO.

3. with 4% reporting

5. actually she doesnt
to catch up in pledged delegates, she needs 81 percent.

That number keeps going up by the way.

7. If I understood why
I wouldn't ask.

If it's the claim that she needs to catch up in pledge delegates, that's just wrong. That's never been her stated strategy.

She needs to convince enough superdelegates that she's the best candidate. Obama has to do the same thing.

I hope she drops out after her big win, but even if she doesn't, I congratulate her and her supporters on a great win tonight!

23. Looks like she's trying to demonstrate that racist states won't vote for Obama.
Will the scuzziness of the campaign not cease?

10. Maybe she is "only" going to get 79.9% as long as they can call it a loss
It's so very important that everything, every move, every day, be a loss for Hillary. Getting too many votes? Raise the bar. Now it's 80%. Good thing they don't demand 90%. But if they do, she'll get them.

I do not wish to appologize for the people who are making stuff up.

13. Actually she needs 88.7% to keep her chances alive
for every contest (including her dreaded Oregon, and SD, and MO visits).

19. The only way she can beat Obama mathematically is win ALL six the remaining contests
with EIGHTY-SIX percent of the vote.

Hillary's first "magic number" was the 60% of the vote she needed in all of the of March 4 "second super Tuesday" contests (TX and OH). Since she didn't, she needed to get at least 65% of the vote in PA and IN. Since she didn't, she now needs 86% of the vote. Conversely, because Obama hit his "magic number" of 45% of the vote in PA, he only "needed" 40% of the vote in IN in conjunction with winning NC. If he can manage around 35% of the vote in WV, it won't really be a loss.

8. EXACTLY ! I'm fine with the check mark but wait to see the final margin
The HRC team is expecting a HUGE win and a 20% lead is not what I call huge. 20% is not the landslide we were led to expect. Remember how the HRC team was expecting a big win in Indiana which fell way down to 9 point two percent by the end of the night.

14. Needed 80/20?? Dude- there is NOTHING she can do.
Why do people keep acting like there is some set of numbers she could conceivably reach that would give her the nomination?

They don't exist.

15. 20% exit polled said race was a factor!!!
If that 20% didn't consider race, it could be at 56% right now.
Not to mention how many percent didn't answer the question honestly.
I'm surprised 20% *admitted* that race was a major factor in their decision!

BTW, since only a few precincts are reporting, its not possible that your number is 'at least'. It could go up or down as the night progresses.
