Clinton camp "definitively" want to go till 2209 delegates.
Edited on Tue May-13-08 11:17 PM by oxbow
Lanny Davis just said it on Larry King. Then Ed Schulz told him that that's where the divide is going to be in the Democratic party. I agree, this isn't good for the party. Do WE have to step in and resolve this? How childish!

1. This is stupid! They can't change the rules in mid-game.
HRC said that Michigan "wouldn't count for anything" NOW she DEMANDS that they be counted.

No, not the above NOR bumping the winning count from 2025 to 2209 should be accepted by the M$M.

HOW LONG CAN WE PERMIT HRC AND HER SURROGATES TO CHEAT WITHOUT PAYING ANY PRICE?!? :nuke:

6. I did notice some in the M$M saying "WTF?" to the 2209 number.
Not everyone is as stupid as Hilary thinks they are, thank goodness!

17. Since when have you used what Hillary said about anything to be the be all and end all of
any decision? Obama said he could no more disown Wright than disown his own racist grannie, but I don't see you yelling about that any time Obama's name comes up.

3. no one is buying it.
i remember watching CNN last tuesday and the REPORTERS on CNN were saying that 'tonight the Clinton camp is pressuring us reporters to start using 2209 as the number instead of 2025' and they were all acting as though it were a crazy thing that they all of the sudden were insisting that the media recognize and start parroting the 2209 number for them. No one did it of course, but they sure as hell tried.

4. if they win that argument...
i have been noticing them pushing it more and more since someone right here on teh DU sarcastically suggested they would start pushing 2209 a few weeks ago- let's say she wins that argument, 2209- whosoever is good at THE MATH, i am not- just how much would that improve her odds? :dunce:

21. Well, you would think Bill Richardson, Robert Reich and Joe Andrew would fall under that category
Long time Clinton supporters who were sickened by the tactics of this campaign. And I imagine there are many more to come who haven't made their intentions public yet, but may very well do so, sometime between now and Oregon.

8. I just can't see how they can continue to call themselves DEMOCRATS...
while still maintaining that we should count the votes in Michigan when Obama wasn't even on the ballot. If they wanna start their own branch of the communist party that's fine but leave our democratic party alone dammit! I can't believe we're seriously even having this conversation!

9. All this does is rile up Hillary's base so they won't ever vote for Obama
It serves no other purpose but to divide the party and hurt us in November.

11. Nothing Hillary is doing is stopping us from voting.
But if our choice is scum or scum? Continue being as sweet and supportive as you are. Show us all that CHANGE! and HOPE!

Because all I see is contempt and derision. And the only answer to that is FU.

14. I am no huge Obama supporter but what on earth has Obama done that is below
the belt? I can name about 50 things Hillary has done. You folks need to take off your rose colored glasses so you can see the disgusting campaign Hillary has run so far. You are as blind to Hillary's crap as Republicans are to Bush's crap.

10. Well, if Lanny said it then it must be TRUE, however, I don't think they can invent NEW RULES
or that they OWN the Party. I guess since Terrence was chairman of the DNC that he can make the RULES as he goes along.

Just imagine if the Obama campaign doing something this Assinine if the roles were reversed.

Maybe Obama should change the Magick Number to 1885. Wow, he's almost there, he just needs 3 more to go.:woohoo:

They're also trying to get the press to say 2209 instead of 2025. it's very disappointing...

19. she may get her wish, because Obama will get 2209 if needed
Once the final contest is held, the erosion of her delegates will commence, and she'll lose people every day. She peaks the night of the Puerto Rico returns.

22. She won't get her way.
The rules committee still has to answer their constituencies. Until she gives them legitimate reasons to risk their political careers, I doubt enough of them will play along with Hillary's games.
