I think it is disgusting that you Hillary supporters assume she will have the AA vote if she is handed the nomination after losing the pledged delegate race.

You want to talk unelectable? Just try having the first viable AA candidate for president have the nomination taken from him because of fears of racism. Yeah, that won't hurt by decreasing turnout in vital metro areas to combat the turnout a Hillary ticket would draw on the GOP side.

Luckily, the super-delegates are not morons and have been and will continue to come to Obama's side.

1. Obama does win the working class vote
The working class is comprised of people from all races. It's not just "hard working white Americans."

The Clinton campaign likes to break it down by race to console themselves that they win the votes "that matter," and to disguise the fact that they cannot get a majority.

3. But
Do you really think he wants the HRC baggage with him on his VP spot? Do you think the media would be able to look past HRC saying McCain brought more to the White House than Obama did? Why would he want to extend this "odd couple soap opera" through November? Especially when he's running on a change ticket.

Obama can find a white southern Democrat to run with him (Clark- a Clinton supporter; Nunn; Webb; etc) who can bring even more foreign policy chops and experience than HRC could.

4. There is no ONE working class voter type.
They differ by geography, worldliness, education, and, yes, race. Obama has been improving his numbers from Ohio, to PA, to Indiana.

I wish the pundits realized the small margins of victory by Clinton, with name brand and ex-prez stumping: Indiana by less than one point, PA and Ohio, by 8 or 9.

6. the working class "white vote"...
I guess he gets the votes of every other color of the spectrum, in their respective categories? I blame the media, more than the Clinton Campaign. Without the media this shit would not have gotten as out of hand as it is. They have been pimping race in this country, from the get go. With the attempt to what? Stir up any latent racism that exists? Widen and deepen the racial divide? Divide and Conquer?

11. I agree. It doesn't help that Hillary USES these racial divisions as arguments in her favor.
Disgusting.

7. I think they can BOTH win BOTH "votes"
Obama can win working class votes. Hillary can win African American votes! It's just that these two blocks prefer "their" candidate given the choice!

I'd f-ing prefer Kucinich over all the other candidates combined, but that sure as high hell doesn't mean that the hippie-turned-yuppie vote isn't going to go for Obama in November (or Clinton if she had gotten the nomination).

All these people playing off primary choices as general decisions are just off in left field, and I'm tired of this whole stupid argument.

(Not that the OP is making the argument!)

10. No, I am disgusted at Hillary assuming she has the AA vote while making a big deal about the blue
collar white vote.

Not a safe assumption to make after swiping the nomination out from under the first viable AA candidate.
