Please, Sen. Obama, campaign in KY, I know this is all but wrapped up now, but
in the spirit of the 50 state initiative, and the desire that I am sure you have to continue to rack up delegates, try to press some flesh in Kentucky, and keep the margins down a little. I believe with a little more effort in WV, you could have gotten 30-32% of the vote, which could've netted a couple more delegates for you at Hillary's expense. Even in a demographically difficult state like WV, a 41% loss is not fun to swallow. I know you are on your way to the nomination, but please, get down in the trenches in tough states like Kentucky, and let the people meet you. You may not win, or even get in the single digits, but you will convince some people, and just might help downticket elections with your continued efforts. Any message of elitism will be squashed if you go to states like WV, KY, AR, and OK and show the folks that even though you know the odds are long for you there, that you will fight for them and change gov't to serve them better, even if they do not particularly support you. I feel very strongly about this.

1. Gene Robinson made it seem like he will campaign more in KY than he did in WV

2. Good, he needs to.
I am for some crazy reason listening to Pat "Batshit Crazy" Buchanan, who is shouting in my living room that Obama needed to get to WV more to connect with voters. This is one of the very few things he has ever said that I agree with. I hope he never loses another election by such margins again.

3. I dont agree with it
He has basically won this nomination and will not be competitive in WV and KY. So I dont really see why Obama NEEDS to get to WV to connect with those voters. If he wants to connect with them, go to Ohio, PA, or Indiana...states he can actually contest.

4. I think part of one day could have been spent at a couple of WV events
I am pretty big on the 50-state initiative, and would love to see more Dems win seats downticket. His appearances do nothing but help. I do realize he'll be the nom, though, and am very proud of that fact.

6. He Doesn't Need To But They Deserve The Chance To See
and hear him. I am betting his visitation could do a lot of good there. That is part of the 50 state strategy.

7. The problem is
that if Obama had been there night and day, and used a time machine to gain an extra week to do it, he would still have lost. And Pat would be shouting into your livingroom that "they met him and rejected him". Ignore the Pat. He is not giving his advice for your betterment

8. I realize that, but I still am very much for him shaking as many hands in as many states as possible
One day more in WV, a couple more in KY, help those downticket. After all, he will be making his job as President a little easier every time he helps a Senate or House candidate win. Gains at the state and local level due to him make him all the more valuable to the Democratic Party, and helps to spread a more compassionate, Populist message to everyone who is willing to listen. Every little bit helps.

10. Obama is an elitist and has total contempt for the people in Kentucky.
He could care less who they vote for. They cling to their guns and religion. Just like he told his rich backers in San Fransisco.
