So, John Edwards hasn't endorsed Hillary. But WHAT IF Hillary drops-out and endorses Edwards?
What if Hillary drops out of the race, and instead of endorsing Obama, she gives all her delegates to Edwards?

Perhaps in exchange for being his nominee for Vice President.

Or perhaps even over the objections of Mr. Edwards himself, who has suspended his campaign.

2. That's silly. Edwards voted for Obama.
And, said he would endorse who he voted for.

Edwards was mighty coy about who he had voted for.

10. He said it on National TV.
"You're saying that this candidate you voted for will be the candidate that you potentially endorse, that it looks highly likely, if I can use your words?" asked Brzezinski.

"I'd say that's very likely," replied Edwards.

"Okay, well, I'm close," said Brzezinski.

"I just voted –- I just voted for him on Tuesday, so..." said Edwards, in an apparent slip.

(snip)

The word "endorsement" won't be used. The buzz is that Obama and Edwards will talk about a partnership -- with a focus on economic issues in general and poverty in particular.

Watch for Edwards to deliver a prime-time speech at the convention -- after which he will emerge as an integral player on Barack Obama's campaign team and in the broader Democratic strategies for the fall.

Edwards may have dropped out of the presidential race in the dead of winter. But he will be in the fight by high summer. And come next January, if there is an Obama administration, John Edwards will be in the thick of it.

3. bwahahaha. Great comedy. Hillary Clinton will NEVER give her
delegates to JE. About as likely as JMac giving his to Mike Huckabee.

11. Nothing much happens.
May of Hillary's supporters are only in it because of her genitalia;
they are not transferrable to John Edwards.

Many of Hillary's supporters are in it because they *LIKE* the
DLC program of screwing the common person; they are not transferrable
to John Edwards.

Many of Hillary's "supporters" are in it because they're hoping to
increase the chances of a Republican winning the General Election;
they are *DEFINITELY* not transferrable to John Edwards as he's
a cadidate far more likely to actually win the GE than her Hillaryness.

Bottom line: Nothing much would happen.

14. That would be a headline, to be sure.
I think Hillary sees herself as top gun and isn't going to play ball by the traditional laws of expectation.

She was always uneasy about Edwards, owing to his genuine commitment to working class voters. She has tried out Populist Hillary, which has worked better than Celebrity Hillary, but Hillary is no John Edwards.

She had herself a big win yesterday in West Virginia, but that could be it for her with all-Hillary headlines. She'll take Kentucky by a very comfortable margin, and likely Puerto Rico. Obama takes all the other remaining contests, including Oregon.
