Apx. a million a day to run her campaign, that's a lot of money being spent just so she can say she made it to the end. I call BS, she's planning something.

7. Three private jets, staffers, Penn, television ads...
Of course the media is giving her a lot of free press, since the divide she is creating makes them money. Controversy = Ratings

21. The private jet use likely costs about 100 thousand a month
Even before super Tuesday only on the biggest spending days could she have spent a million in a day. That is an insane amount of money.

24. That isn't very much flying. Jet A must cost a few grand/hour now.
Even if the airplane is free (like I think it is for John McCain) the fuel alone should be more than 100/K/mo.

26. Not unless she travels to Japan and back every day.
JP fuel is not some wonder fuel. Its a percentage higher than Unleaded at the pump but aircraft make better use of it.

It just gets expensive when you haul hundreds of people from New York to London or New York to Tokyo.

Aircraft cost to maintain and rent time on and yes you have to pay pilots and crew. But these are little more than small regional Jets. Which would cost just a step up from a business jet.

100 thousand a month is a realistic number when you factor in profits.

28. It looks like a GV uses about 4000 lb/hr of JetA at $4.50/gal.
Fuel flow varies from 12520 lb/hr for takeoff to 10565 lb/hr climb to 3984 lb/hr cruise (Mach .85). http://www.lissys.demon.co.uk/samp2/mis85.html

That's assuming no one is in a hurry, in which case fuel flow gets worse, over 5000 lb/hr (Mach .87). http://www.lissys.demon.co.uk/samp2/mis87.html

4000 lb/hr divided by 6 lb/gal times 4.50 $/gal equals $3000/hr for fuel alone.

Like I said before, figure on several thousand per hour for fuel. Some places are even charging $5.00 and $6.00 per gallon now.

If each of the three planes used by Hillary and Bill and Chelsea were to fly only 11.1 hours per month, that $100,000 that you keep talking about would be already used up in fuel costs alone.

I think you are greatly underestimating what the effects of ever increasing fuel costs.

Clinton Team Acknowledges $20 Million Debt
A Top Aide Denies Rumors That She Is Seeking VP Slot

<snip>

Clinton aides continued to insist that she will remain in the race even while confirming that she is $20 million in debt. "The voters are going to decide this," senior adviser Howard Wolfson said on "Fox News Sunday," acknowledging the $20 million figure. "There is no reason for her not to continue this process." Wolfson said he has seen "no evidence of her interest" in pursuing the second-place spot on the Democratic ticket, contrary to rumors that she is staying in the race to leverage a bid for the vice presidential nomination.

22. heh. considering the closing arguments are over,
the jury has met and is meeting, and the governor of Illinois is in far more hot water than Obama.

to the contrary, Obama came out with no scars or problems.
