I, like many of you, have been baffled at Hillary Clinton's continued participation in the race for the Democratic nomination. It occurred to me this morning that perhaps she's doing it in order to do a state by state election process check to prevent, or bring to light, Republican election tampering. I don't know, maybe that's reaching, but I've never seen a candidate continue on like she has. There must be some purpose, yeah? I haven't heard this idea mentioned, so I thought I'd bring it up. Her staying in the race is having the following effects:
1) Stimulating voter registration at unprecedented levels. 2) Stimulating turn out at polls at unprecedented levels. 3) Keeping media attention on Democrats, not McCain. 4) Giving the party an opportunity to exercises and examine the election system in all the states. 5) Stimulating general interest in the race, stimulating unprecedented donations to Obama.
So has it worked? Has any Republican shenanigans been uncovered during this process?
