Hillary made a good statement on the Sit Room
(CNN) -- Hillary Clinton on Wednesday reiterated her vow to stay in the Democratic presidential race, but she said it would be a "terrible mistake" for her supporters to vote for John McCain over Barack Obama.

"Anybody who has ever voted for me or voted for Barack has much more in common in terms of what we want to see happen in our country and in the world with the other than they do with John McCain," Clinton said on CNN's "The Situation Room."

"I'm going to work my heart out for whoever our nominee is -- obviously I'm still hoping to be that nominee, but I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that anyone who supported me ... understands what a grave error it would be not to vote for Sen. Obama."

Exit polls out of West Virginia indicate only 36 percent of Clinton's supporters would vote for Obama if he were the nominee. A bare majority of Obama's voters said they would vote for Clinton over McCain.

1. I'm so glad to hear this!
I'm hoping that all her supporters follow her suggestion.

3. This should come as no surprise
to Democrats. I'm still holding out hopes for a General Clark nomination but I will, with gusto, support the party nominee. I cannot imagine any democrat doing anything else.

4. That is what should be expected out of a good Dem...
I've never had a single doubt about Hillary's support of Obama. She will campaign for him as vigorously as she would herself when the time comes.

9. She HAS campaigned for him before
and she's made remarks like this before, too.

10. Exactly. She has pulled this stunt too many times before. Look out...
she is about ready to bring out the knife. I will NEVER trust anything she says again.

6. She's going to have to say that again and again and again and again
She certainly talked up Bomb Bomb on numerous occasions ... there's
a lot of damage to be repaired. She's not going to avoid starring
in McLame's anti-Obama ads, but she needs to start trying to atone
for that now.

7. Wow...that's the first concession of that kind I recall her making
Hopefully, this is the first baby step towards giving up the ghost.

8. Didn't the Clintons pledge support for Kerry in '04 but failed to really do much?

11. I believe that might have been because Bill had bypass surgery in September
and his recovery did not go as quickly as expected. He did manage to take the stage with John Kerry shortly before the election.

He attended other campaign events for Kerry after this appearance.

Clinton campaigned Monday evening in Miami, Florida, after his comeback speech earlier in the day in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He travels to Nevada on Friday and New Mexico on Saturday.

On Sunday, Clinton returns to his home state of Arkansas for a campaign event.

12. Exactly. Overtly undermine Kerry's chances, as well.
W VA polls said 75% were swayed by Bill, who was quoted as saying Obama was elite. Not waxing positive for him, that's for sure.

Hill's win was Bill's.
