Clinton: It'd be 'terrible mistake' to pick McCain over Obama
(CNN) -- Hillary Clinton on Wednesday reiterated her vow to stay in the Democratic presidential race, but she said it would be a "terrible mistake" for her supporters to vote for John McCain over Barack Obama.

Sen. Hillary Clinton vowed to stay in the race, saying she's "not going anywhere."

"Anybody who has ever voted for me or voted for Barack has much more in common in terms of what we want to see happen in our country and in the world with the other than they do with John McCain," Clinton said on CNN's "The Situation Room."

"I'm going to work my heart out for whoever our nominee is -- obviously I'm still hoping to be that nominee, but I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that anyone who supported me ... understands what a grave error it would be not to vote for Sen. Obama."

4. Wait till tomorrow she'll be attacking Obama again.
I'm wondering if HRC may have bi-polar tendencies?

38. She's getting her ass chewed out tonight by the DONORS & party big-wigs
and she's going to be asking them for more time..more money, so of course she wants to be on the record as being all nice & sweet, so she can try to convince them to hang in there with her..even though she's LOST...

She's pegging the whole thing on getting the extra delegate count bumped up to 2210 so that when Obama WINS at 2025, she will sneer and say..not so fast Bub..Momma says you have to get to 2210...and that almost DICTATES that it WILL go to Denver, so he will lose out on 6-7 weeks of campaigning against Mccain, and will have won an election, only to see it possibly snatched away by the Clintons' chicanery..

2. Yeah, she pisses off the party, then takes a step back--she's done this dance before.
I'm tired of her little games. Nothing out of her mouth is sincere--besides the "in it to win it".

9. Oh.. I thought McCain had the experience...
Funny how all and I don't mean some, there wasn't a single Hillary supporter who took her to task for touting McCain's experience over Obama's, not 8 weeks ago. Now she's changing her mind, so do all her supporters stand by her statement from today or from 8 weeks ago? Which is it? Is Obama better than McCain or not?

10. Kudos and sincere appreciation to Senator Clinton for making
that statement explicitly. If she can find enough energy left to work for Senator Obama's candidacy anywhere close to the way she worked in her quest for the nomination McCain is going to be looking for his teeth in November.

McCain has been getting rested and ready in the shadows of our battling. Ultimately, he's the one we need to defeat in Nov, not each other.

That's all I wanted to hear. Now, just one more thing... run on your own merits, or against McCain's failings. Don't attack Obama. Regardless of which of you gets the nomination, McCain is our target.

24. I think alot of them left
but I'll throw in my .02 cents here. I support them both so am hoping that we get an Obama/Clinton ticket. I'm sure she'll fight like hell for Obama as will I when the primaries are over and he's the presumptive nominee.
I've heard this echoed from a number of my HRC supporter friends as well.
They simply do NOT want 4 more years of McBush.
Party unity is what will win in November, that's #1 to me.

29. Not to pick on Senator Clinton,
but this is why she shouldn't have made the "threshold" comment earlier in the primary. This statement directly contradicts her earlier one, which implied McCain had crossed the presidential "threshold" and Obama had not.

Although I commend her for finally behaving as a team player, her supportive statements today for Obama carry a lot less weight than they should. Hopefully the public has short memories.

Regardless, thanks to Senator Clinton for throwing some support behind Obama.

:eyes: It's nice that now that's it's almost June and she has very little shot at the nomination she's decided to be concillatory twoards Obama. It just appears a bit "too little, too late".
