Question: what could Obama say or do to get the vote of a Clinton supporter?
Is there any way Obama can get former Clinton supporters in his camp? I mean those that already said they would vote McCain or stay home.

3. I for one am trying
And I know there are some other Obama supporters on this board who are as well. It's a shame some Obama supporters have to be so obnoxious that they turn other Democrats off from Obama. But none of us speak for Obama, so I hope you don't judge him by any of us.

9. you're not voting for his supporters on a web site.
This should have nothing to do with his supporters. This is about Obama and McCain and the future of this country. Not hurt feelings.

21. I understand that some of his supporters are dickheads
but that really doesn't have anything to do with the candidate. There have been plenty of Clinton supporters who were jerks to me, but I learned to get past them and if Clinton is the nominee then I will gladly vote for her.

I vote for Democrats.

23. I was totally oblivious to it until recently
I honestly, for some idiotic reason, thought that for the most part this country had gotten over race. Yes, of course, there would be exceptions but I never imagined it to be at this kind of level. A while ago I would dismiss most Obama supporters as crazy when they tried to say racism was at play in regards to some of the hate Obama got. It wasn't until the Wright thing blew up that I woke the hell up. And I feel ashamed for being that naive.

Being a long time Clinton watcher, I think she is punking the Republicans and the media. I think she is working with Obama. The Primaries have been Obama's OJT (On the Job Training.) What if the primaries ended in Feb or March? Would Obama or Hillary be getting this much attention in the MSM?

28. For the most part these people don't exist.
Obama doesn't have to say or do anything special to appease anyone... he should just keep doing what he has been doing. the vast majority of these people are talking our their rears will wind up voting for Obama.

The small group that won't are people who probably thought the IWR was a good thing to vote on and since Obama didn't support it, he won't get their vote. However, CLinton wouldn't have gotten the anti-war vote, so she would have lost much much more than Obama in the GE.

Moses could come down the mountain with a third tablet that said: "Vote for Obama" and it wouldn't make a blessed difference.

The only way I would consider it would be if they were both on the ticket. When two candidates are so close in votes and delegates, the top person should offer the other the VP spot.

64. BINGO!!!! Swiftboating to win by calling a fellow democrat a racist doesn't get my vote!
I would rather get out the coat hangers and meet President McCain!

I will not condone this type of crap from democrats! He should be ashamed of himself! At least we know we cannot trust McCain, but to get our throats sliced by a democrat!!!! Just plain BS!!! This campaign has offered the dirtiest bullshit from Obama and his supporters trashing Hillary on her character... sexist statements that never end! and Michelle!!! my God the women is atrocious!

81. Who hates him?
The DNC? The Republicans? Certainly not Clinton or Obama. Maybe Kucinich who even had the guts to call Edwards out on trade with China.

57. If you are really a Democrat...
Obama doesnt need to beg for your vote...but I am sure if you want to have blood on your hands, and wish to make the Supreme Court ultra conservation for the next generation, go a head and vote McCain.

60. It's not what Obama could say...
It's what McCain will do if elected, and what he has done.

Where do we start?
1) Bomb, bomb Iran, bomb, bomb Iran....
2) One Hundred more years in Iraq.
3) McCain admits that he knows nothing about the economy.
4) No plan for health care at all.
5) His association with domes day preacher Rod Parsley.

Please add to this list.

77. ERA
Obama did as well as he did, at least in part, because his campaign excelled at splitting the womens' vote.

Time to put up.

80. ERA would be great!
That failed when I was a kid, it's time to bring it back. Equal pay should be at the top of the list, them military protection and facilities for women, then whistle blower protection, etc.

82. he could start by telling his 'supporters' to STFU. it may be too late, though. he's already told
us that he doesn't need or want our votes, and threatened that his supporters would not vote for hilllary.

88. Do you have a link or site for the quote?
I didn't hear him say, "don't vote for Clinton." Did I miss this?

I think being more accommodating would help for everyone. Do Clinton supporters really think McCain is better?
