Nor do I think it's desirable. This seems to be a premise born out of wish projection rather than a realistic political analysis.

Edwards already ran second on a ticket once. He will not do so again. One does not move forward as the party's perpetual running mate.

I think the speculation of the AG post, or some other high-ranking job has more credibility, and would make better use of his talents.
