If Bill and Hillary had vigorously campaigned FOR Obama in WV
she'd be getting cheers instead of boos when her name is mentioned at rallies. The sad fact is that for whatever shameful reason, they kept up their divisive, below-the-belt (I'm being polite) scorched earth campaign for months past the point where they should have been helping build the party, not destroy it and then stick it with a $20 million debt.

As ye sow, so shall ye reap, or to put it more simply, what goes around comes around.

slip in the sea
eventually..."

2. Ain't that the truth.
I'm mildly sympathetic to Hillary's disappointed fans but there's no excuse for the wretched campaign they've been running except the nefarious ones that we're not supposed to mention.

3. Yes, it's not like the class warfare theme they launched hurts or anything
and people wonder why we are angry with her. Intellectually dishonesty and now a panderer and a class baiter. Hmmm, not like I'm angry when the Repubs do that.

4. That's right, class AND race, to the tune of FOX and CNN.
Good grief the shamelessness of it all would made Nixon blush.

5. Yeah, I don't understand.
Hillary can get just what she wants for America, a Democrat in the White House. Even if she is in the Senate, (what about Cabinet, even?) things will be better for her. They agree on most policies and issues, anyway. She can bring the party together in an instant if she wants.

Or, she can keep campaigning in a race she has a 3% chance of winning so that she can ultimately lower the chances that her party wins in 2008.

6. If she'd quit even two weeks ago and hit the trail hard with Bill
campaigning for Obama, she'd already be a hero, maybe even veep, especially if she turned around WV. It's madness that she's still in this thing.

Wrightgate was pretty much a license to hate and the Clintons were right there to sign it. Personally I think WV was manipulated in the most cynical possible way mainly for the benefit of the RNC.

There's no conceivable reason to have kept this thing going so long and on such a low road, or at least conceivably helpful to Democrats.

She should have dropped out for the same reasons Huckabee and Romney dropped out, because they couldn't win and hanging around only hurts the nominee.

Because people are paying attention, and voting, and getting involved.

I am sorry that you can't wait to open your presents, but calling the race over* is pure fantasy at this point.

Its like those damned "Choose Your Own Adventure" books...

29. It takes awhile for popular perception to catch up to the facts,
but Obama's had it effectively tied up since Super Tuesday, mathematically since at least last week. Edwards is news because he could have held out and not decided at all but he stuck his neck out like Richardson did.

Why should Bill or Hillary have campaigned for Obama in WV? Let him figure out how to get the blue collar vote. Last time I checked, she's still in the race.

The Obama groupies just demonstrated at his rally once more how the meme of unity is nothing but a sham and empty platitudes.
