3. Bingo!!
It puts the war hero thingy out of play, and Clark is as smart as Obama.

I WANT A WHITE HOUSE AND ADMINISTRATION SMARTER THAN MY FUCKING IN LAWS.

42. Seriously! I've been thinking those same exact thoughts constantly lately.
Edited on Wed May-14-08 09:48 PM by chill_wind
I don't want to have a beer/go golfing/go bowling/go hunting/go to church/play bingo with any of them.

I want someone who will restore the once greatness of the office. It's been a long time.

45. I voted Edwards!
I've actually wanted to see an Obama/Edwards ticket (in either order, since I was originally leaning towards Edwards, before the SC debate) since Iowa and feel even stronger about it after what happened today! I think he could add more to the ticket than Hillary, as well as help attract more of the so called "blue collar voters" the media and Hillary's people keep whining about, many of whom made up a large part of his base when he was still in the running. Plus, look at them together today..don't they make a great pair? :D

Obama/Edwards '08! (hey, a girl can dream, can't she? :P)

If so, I'm sorry I missed it. An interesting choice.

17. Sebelius is sort of a mixed bag...
Her Democratic Response to the 2008 SOTU was at best anemic. But then she turned around and lifted the Kansas prohibition on civilian ownership of full-auto firearms. What to do, what to do...?

Her response was not very good, I agree
but as far as governance, Her record speaks for itself.

Obama/Sebelius 2008 -- bookmark it and laud or shame me later.

Consider.

13. You have a valid point...
I've only encountered a few names that were being seriously considered for VP, and most of them happened to be guys. But I have heard one media figure mention Kathleen Sibelius as a potential running mate.

24. OK.... name a woman that has the foreign policy cred like a Clark or Richardson do
Edited on Wed May-14-08 09:20 PM by newmajority
Because it's going to be needed on the ticket. John McLoon has nothing to run on but "war and terra".

If we were in ordinary circumstances, with a media that didn't actively participate in the brainwashing for the last 8 years, I would be seriously considering a woman governor on this ticket. Janet Napolitano or Kathleen Sebelius for example. I'd probably pick Janet out of those two because Arizona is probably a better pickup than Kansas. And Janet has taken on corporatism in the past, which is compatible with the direction this party and this country MUST go.

But seriously.... is there a woman who can compete on the foreign policy front with Clark or Richardson?

(and for Christ's sake, don't say Hillary's 8 years of being married to some guy fits this description)

Putting Brian Schweitzer in at VP, and moving Webb to Sec of Defense.

Biden is perfect for SOS.

I really really like the idea of JE as AG -- and as someone mentioned, then onto the Supreme Court!

21. My heart
is with Edwards, but I think Clark might be wiser, politically. Plus, if Edwards were AG or in some other important position for eight years, he'd be much better placed to become President in 2016. Clark would be too old by then.

28. I think he should choose Webb
The Democratic Party needs a southern moderate on the ticket. It's a time-tested and smart electoral strategy. Webb has a future in the party. I see him making a bid in 2012 or 2016.

46. To ensure victory, in Obama's shoes I'd go for Ted Strickland.
He's popular in Ohio, a state the Repugs have to win in order to get the WH. He's also pro-gun (as am I), so he'd come across as a moderate - and that would keep the pro-Repug media from throwing the 'L' word they're so scared of around.
