It isn't being a Republican; it's being shortsighted

Most of us have watched with astonishment Clinton using the "elitist" Repuke frame against Obama, and asked WTF? How in bleeding HELL can she not see that this would be used against her own campaign if she were to get the nomination? She must want to destroy the party in a fit of pique to have McCain win so she can run against him in 2012, yaddayadda.

I think that the simplest explanations are almost always the best. She really doesn't see the damage that constantly agreeing with Rethugs causes--all she sees is a need to go after Obama right now, and the Repukes have this frame all well-honed and ready to go. This fits in with not having a post Super Tuesday plan. It fits in with the Clinton DNC completely ignoring party-building in the 90s--can't bother with that, it won't help us in the next six months, just go back to the "free" trading corporados who have the money, etc.

I can't see someone with a history of failure to plan for the long term as being qualified for the presidency. We've had more than a bellyful of that with Commander CooCooBananas.

1. It's like a sugar rush

quick and easy, but it hurts you in the long run.

Yeah I don't think Hillary believes she's hurting the party, I think she knew she had to pull out all stops after he rolled her 11 in a row in February. She's been doing what she thinks she has to do to win. I can understand that, it's desperation. It's interesting. I think most of what she has done was fair game, I might not have liked it, but it's fair game. But where she lost me was when she did the "I have a lifetime of experience, Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience, Senator Obama has a speech he made in 2002" thing. That was uncalled for. The other problem I had is she's been running the primary basically as McCain. Experience. Strength. Hawkishness. I'm she'd never be able to outMcCain McCain with that, so she'd probably have to reinvent herself in the GE. I love Hillary, but she's done some things that truly turned me off.

2. Hillary is running as she would govern. From the right. Why? She is

a DINO. She is exactly what this country does not need to recover from bu$h. Hillary does not see all that is wrong in this country. Hillary does not have what is needed to get this country on the road to recovery. To be a First world country to be proud to be a citizen of, instead of a 3rd world country with its citizens in denial. Hillary is as out of touch as any on the far right.

3. Her policy positions aren't that different from Obama's

The differences are in the way the two campaigns have been run. Obama plans ahead; Clinton is shortsighted.
