No wonder Democratic Party has a hard time in the General Election.(progressive Radio)
I'm listening to Air America Radio and the Lionel Show is on and he is bashing Keith Olbermann special comment last night. Are you freaking kidding me! They are bashing one of the best voices in the Progressive media.

I also have Sirius radio and they have on some idiot named Alex Bennett on. I cant stand to actually listen to him but they play a clip from him that goes something like: " There is no real difference between McCain, Hillary, & Obama. It doesn't matter who gets elected nothing will change"

What the hell is wrong with the progressive radio? You have Dems putting down other Dems? Saying there is no difference between Republicans and Dems. These are just a couple of examples of stuff I heard. But its all the time. Hell I got Sirius radio so I could hear progressive radio and half the people on I cant even listen to.

The Right wing radio runs like a fine oil machine. The GOP gives them talking points and they all push those talking points and are always united at attacking Dems. Too be honest I'm jealous of them.

The last thing I want to hear is the Lionel Show putting down Keith because he told the President to "Shut the Hell up". Why doesn't he play all the clips of how bad Bush is...nope lets bash Keith on progressive radio for one line Keith made that you thought was to over the top and throw away everything else he said. What a jerk. I haven't listen to the Lionel Show in a long time but thought I would give it another try. Guess what? Never again. By the way he then hung up on a caller sticking up for Keith. Can you believe this?

I think we need to start demanding these progressive radio owners start putting people on that stick to the party line. Please help me email them and complain.

Thanks

1. yes, like Lionel has room to criticize anyone
he sucks so hard he could suck-start a leaf blower.

I email XM on a weekly basis to beg and plead that they get rid of that douchebag. His voice hurts and his positions are ignorant. He also loves to use big words to make himsef feel like a smart guy.

6. AAR is completely dead to me
I have emailed them about everything from Malloy to Randi, to Seder and they continue to snub the listeners. I think that they are too ideologically driven by their support of Hillary and the DLC to ever let any legitimate debate onto their airwaves. That is why they waste time with Lionel and others.

Go after XM, they have already put Randi back in her slot even though she is with Nova M and not AAR. They have also put Malloy back on the air (although not live-argh). XM is feeling the brunt of subscribers taking their money away. AAR is the private plaything of the Greens, but XM is "trying" to make money.

3. I really dislike Lionel - I listen to Stephanie Miller instead.
Which is more like radio morning show than a typical talk show - but it works.

5. Alex Bennett
I have sirius also one time tuned into Alex Bennett and he's incredibly mean to all his callers. Some hosts are mean to callers but he was the worst. I never listened again to him. And Lynn Samuels on sirius is a total Hillbot. Her whiny voice I can only stand for 5 minutes.

7. Air America Radio was a great dream
but has been a complete flop due to their management. I only listen to certain shows when I can and NEVER Lionel. I get Thom Hartman and Ring of Fire on the weekends on line. I miss the Young Turks though. Randi is too strident, shrill, and talks over all her guests. She knows what she's talking about and I love her but I can't listen to her anymore and stopped long before AAR dropped her. I podcast Stephanie Miller and Ed Schultz though and have to say that they are my favorite. Air America has little to offer.

Air America went down the crapper some time ago. They do not deserve to be listened to.

13. To the contrary, he stays TRUE BLUE, with regard to democratic values and principles.
When one delves into the GOP playbook of "dirty tricks", well, IMO, KO is attempting "an intervention."

15. If you are referring to KO (and randi and schultz), they use RW rhetoric to attack a Democrat. --
nothing progressive about that.

10. But you guys are thrilled
when Randi Rhodes or Keith Olbermann slams a democrat. The outrage seems rather selective.

18. I listen to Alex regularly on Sirius.
The guy is really just a primadonna interested in being interesting (even if only to himself), though sometimes I find myself agreeing with him. Lynne Samuels is just as guilty, but I never agree with her.

Mark Thompson's Make It Plain show, on the other hand, is very open to various dialogues and different points of view. I also like Pete's Big Mouth on the Indie Channel with a similar premise.

19. Dont you think
that progressive radio should be in contact with the DNC and should get some everyday talking points to push. Not that they should spend their entire show on just these topics but at least be on the same page.

Just seems like right wing is so much more organized then the Left.
