If you support Obama, then you should Support his message of Unity.
Edwards devoted the first section of his speech yesterday to Hillary's positive contributions to this party. Obama has done an excellent job maintaining his composure in the face of a much needed vetting. Hillary has been fighting hard for working class votes.

We all need to imagine what would happen... what strength we would have in November, if we all unite.

Unity, hope and change have been the themes of Barack's campaign. That is why I support him. If we honor him and his campaign, we will follow his lead.

To that effect, I am taking a pledge to cease and desist commenting in support of any negative Democratic thread on DU. I know I have had some incredibly low moments in this primary and said some things I would never say to a person face to face. I think many (not all) of us have. Until after November, I will reserve my ire for those people who denigrate fellow DUers, Democrats or the underrepresented.

I apologize to all of you whom I have offended with my inadequate attempts at sarcasm and to all of you whom I have hurt with my outrage.

Please, please vote down-ticket. Let's kick some Elephantine Ass.

3. HA!
What a joke! Mr Obama's so-called message of unity is just an empty campaign slogan. Name 1 thing that arrogant racist has done to bring people together. Now you people patronize us and want to play nice so you can get us to vote for your messiah. Good luck with that.

4. He is not my messiah.
He was not my first first three choices. At this point, I am ambivalent about any presidential candidate.

What I do know is that the last 14 years have been disastrous to my family, my city, my schools, etc.

We have a chance to staunch the bleed. But only if we unite. And only if we make sure people are voting down-ticket where it really counts.

I understand your anger. We have all had reasons to be angry in the last four months. Your reasons may be different than mine, but step back and take a look at the real enemies and tell me what you see.
