Lieberman's reaction: Bush got it exactly right
No surprise here, either; just reporting more fallout from across the political spectrum. I wonder if Ole Joe is wrangling for VP?

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/05/15/lieberman-bush-appeasers/

<<President Bush got it exactly right today when he warned about the threat of Iran and its terrorist proxies like Hamas and Hezbollah. It is imperative that we reject the flawed and naïve thinking that denies or dismisses the words of extremists and terrorists when they shout “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” and that holds that — if only we were to sit down and negotiate with these killers — they would cease to threaten us. It is critical to our national security that our commander-in-chief is able to distinguish between America’s friends and America’s enemies, and not confuse the two.<<

This is the beginning of their end.

4. You're right. It's been SO freaking awful that it's hard to realize

that they are indeed going down. Thanks for reminding us.

6. I can only imagine how many people in Connecticut
must regret ever voting for that clown again.

President Bush and, by extension, Joe Lieberman, apparently aren't very capable of distinguishing anything beyond pandering to special interest groups and using their positions to pad their own bank accounts.

9. Nah.. most people vote incumbents back in because of the "goodies" they deliver

to the state, and because most voters are lazy.. They see a name they recognize, and if that person has not been in the papers for molesting toddlers, they probably just send them back...time after time..

BUT, once Lieberman is stripped of any residual power & committee assignments we had to give him to keep him happy, things will change for him..

Of course it's probably moot anyway, because I can see him retiring after this term ends anyway..Once he has no hold over anyone, why would he want to stay on..

10. But...Bill Clinton told us Connecticut Dems couldn't lose no matter who they voted for.
And, unfortunately, he said it to a huge audience on Live TV right before the election.

Clinton knew exactly what he was doing - he was protecting the Fascist enabling wing of the Dem party that he leads.

12. Lieberman supporters in CT
I was in Connecticut a few summers ago. I believe it was in '06. Lieberman was running as an Independent against Ned Lamont (D) for CT Senate seat. Lieberman supporters were standing aroiund at a craft show in Norwalk holding signs which said simply "Lieberman". Not "Lieberman for Senate" or "Lieberman 04" Just "Lieberman". The supporters said nothing. Thery stood silent or marched slowly in single file like some volunteer zombie army. It was kind of creepy. The other people were giggling at them as they crept by.

7. I am SOOOOOO ready for us to have a significant margin, so we can finally
back that bus over Loserman.. He might as well switch to republican for real, because I'm guessing that he will be stripped of ALL his committee assignments, and the shunning will commence :)

15. Hopefully, we'll win enough seats in the fall that we can finally strip
this idiot of his committee assignments and label him for the Repuke that he is. I still heard one of the commentators this morning call him "Democrat Joe Lieberman".

18. Lieberman's loyalty to the Democratic Party...
AND the United States has ALWAYS been secondary to his loyalty to Israel. He has no legitimate place in government. Not ours, anyway.
