WVWV's Operation Chaos Hits Oregon
The Oregon paper, Willamette Week reports on how Women’s Voices, Women’s Vote in its "Rogue of the Week" column.
Women's Voices, Women Vote (WVWV) is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit that aims to register single women to vote across the country.

Women’s Voices, Women’s Vote -An Orwellian approach to universal suffrage

Williamette Week Onlin, Editorial Staff May 14

So Portlander Jennifer Elder and her husband of 11 years, Paul Collins, were surprised when she got two WVWV letters April 29, the last day to register for the May 20 primary, saying: “If you have moved, you must update your voter registration in order to vote.”

“My first impression was, ‘Oh, are we not registered?’” says Collins, who opened the mail. “I could swear we were registered for this address. And of course we were.”

Thousands more registered Oregon voters have been just as confused by WVWV letters since last year, according to Secretary of State Bill Bradbury. His office has been calling and sending “please-stop-doing-this-you’re-insane” letters since then to WVWV, according to Bradbury spokesman Scott Moore.

The message is, “Assuming your intentions are good, you’re causing more harm than good,” Moore says.

...Besides targeting registered voters, WVWV letters have also gone to dead people and 10-year-olds in Oregon, according to Moore. Bloggers have uncovered problems in North Carolina, where WVWV apparently targeted black neighborhoods with robo-calls after that state’s registration deadline. As bloggers note, WVWV’s board and staff includes prominent Clinton supporters like Bill’s old White House chief of staff, John Podesta.

Next states to have primaries that have also received "help" from WVWV:

Oregon – Primary Day: May 20, 2008
Montana – Democratic Primary: June 3, 2008
South Dakota – Primary Day: June 3, 2008

Keep up with the continuing investigation of WVWV at Facing South the blog for Institute for Southern Studies.

5. Contact your SOS office instead
WVWV and the Voter Participation Center are mailing to children, dogs and
dead people.

I wouldn't trust them with any further information.

They have broken the law in NC with anonymous robo calls,
don't know what the laws are in other states.

Email or send a complaint to your SOS if you are in Oregon or the other states
with upcoming primaries.

after their illegal tactics have been discovered, they apologize. Shut them down! :grr:

7. will they do it again just before the General Election in November?
thats another question to worry about.

They've already done the damage for the primary, will they try
it again for GE?

8. Remember the good ole days when Democrats used to be outraged
by a campaign having "friends" use voter suppression tactics...

Too bad that after Hillary's campaign... Democrats will never be allowed to fight these tactics again.

11. Clinton campaign has used vote suppressing tricks that Republicans employed
and I am disgusted that anyone who calls themselves a Democrat continues to support these deceits.

13. It's time for an election fraud investigation...
seriously... the "coincidences" keep racking up faster than Hillary's goalpoast changes.

18. some ei people won't touch this, its not politically correct
if this were a republican group doing this, all hell would break loose,
but because of the heavy political connections of WVWV's Board of Directors,
it seems to be too embarassing for some to report or investigation.

Believe me I've tried to get some people interested in it.

14. Who's behind these dirty little letters? Let's pull the
curtain and see what and who the motivation is..I mean besides ol' hilary shill, lanny davis.

They need to have their stamp privileges revoked.

15. One of their excuses, when they first began getting called on this bullshit
Was that they had mass mailings and robocalls going out and couldn't control when they arrived. So why is it that they always hit just before the primary, always at the moment when they're guaranteed to cause maximum confusion? This outfit stinks to high heaven, and so do their defenders on DU.

17. There is NO LONGER any question, imo, as to their intent...
and that is to suppress the vote. They have now caused major confusion in TOO MANY states, all of it JUST BEFORE each State's primary, for it to be anything but deliberate.

They need to be stopped and then investigated.
