Speaking before the Knesset, Bush said that “some people” believe the United States “should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along."

"We have heard this foolish delusion before," Bush said. "As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

As the Democratic Party approaches its final primaries and some of the supporters of the losing candidate are contemplating their desires for the General Election you have reminded every American exactly why we absolutely must unite to take the White House.

Your administration has destroyed the 50 year of a generally bipartisan approach to diplomacy by trying to interject your cowboy mentality at the wrong time in the wrong place with the wrong facts for the wrong reasons.

You have made the Middle East a tinder box.

You have endangered Israel.

And the strangest part of this whole sorry episode is that you had one small success. By talking to Ghaddafi you persuaded him to give up his very serious program for weapons of mass destruction.

You actually sent people to talk to him and they convinced him and the world is safer because of it. But because you do not want to promote the American style of diplomacy that has brought greater peace and prosperity to more people than anytime in world history you never speak of this accomplishment and rather focus on the your sociopathic-Texan-unilateral-saber-rattling-macho-unnecessary war mentality.

The entire country is sick of it and sick of you. And while the Democrats were trying to figure out how to kiss and make up you gave us the motivation we need.

Obama
Clinton
Kerry
Biden
et al

Speaking forcefully, intelligently all with the same voice.

Take your finger off the button. There are 249 days 9 hours and 53 minutes left.

Once again thank you unifying the party and reminding us what is at stake on Nov 4th.

comments in public. He has gotten away with it for too, too long. I hope Biden leads the charge in censuring this bastard.

This plays right into Obama's hands.

aware rather than the first few times they played this game. Plus it reminds us to not squabble between ourselves. There really are huge stakes in this coming GE.

36. Bush's quote was from Republican Senator Borah - from Idaho.
Who was famous for his oratorical skills, his isolation point of view towards foreign trade, and appeasemnt to Hitler.

Not exactly a person like Bush should be quoting after he invaded Iraq after lying about WMD's.

Just like George Costanza, just when I think Lanny Davis or Terry MacAwful is going to stop memntioning Idaho, Bush goes and quotes a dead Senator from Idaho from his own freakin' party!!

The irony of that kind of shit is what makes it so ironic.
