Unelectable? Both Dems would wipe the floor with McCain in November. Obama would just do a better job it it. ;-)

Either of the two Democratic candidates for president would beat John McCain in the general election in November, the latest Quinnipiac University Poll says and that an Obama-Clinton ticket is a "dream" for Democrats.

The poll, which surveyed 1,745 registered voters nationwide, shows that voters would likely vote for Illinois Sen. Barack Obama over McCain, 47-40, while New York's junior senator, Hillary Clinton, would hold a 46-41 percent edge over McCain....

1. National polls are irrelevant
We don't have a national election with every vote weighted equally.

2. Hillary's argument to the super delegates is that Obama is unelectable
This poll proves otherwise.

3. Rasmussen which is FAR more conservative still gives the Democrats a 61.5% chance of winning in Nov.
"Rasmussen Markets data gives Democrats a 61.5% chance of winning in November (results are updated on a 24/7 basis by market participants).

" The Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator shows Democrats leading in states with 200 Electoral Votes while the GOP has the advantage in states with 189"

"Senate polling shows at least ten Republican Senate seats could be in play for Democrats during Election 2008. These include Senate seats in North Carolina, Oregon, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Colorado, Alaska, Minnesota, Kentucky, Virginia, and Texas. Underlying this dismal outlook for the GOP is the fact that more and more people are considering themselves to be Democrats. In fact, the Democrats now have the largest partisan advantage over the Republicans since Rasmussen Reports began tracking this data on a monthly basis nearly six years ago. "
