Lt. Worf endorses Obama!
Edited on Fri May-16-08 02:58 PM by hedgehog
I, Lieutenant Worf, am now ready to declare who I support in the 2008 Presidential Campaign. I announce today my endorsement for Senator Barack Obama (D.-Ill.) and urge you to vote for him in the fall.

You may ask what about Senator Obama speaks to me, and causes me to endorse at this time. Is it biography? Surely, I am moved by the story of his humble origins, his absent Kenyan father, his mother working to make ends meet, and growing up without his father in an environment where his racial identity was unclear. After all, I, Lieutenant Worf, am a Klingon by birth, but raised by Caucasian humans, the Rozhenkos, on the farm world of Gault. So I know a little bit about absent fathers, and being a dark-skinned man, looked upon as an alien in a white world.

7. Katherine Janeway is married to Tim Hagan
Tim Hagan is the 02 Democrat that lost Ohio's governorship to the incumbent Taft, and a 3rd or 4th cousin of mine. I support Obama, and I supported Tim Hagan, so we've got Katherine! Ask Stephen Colbert to clarify that logic.

19. Cool!
My apologies. I seemed uncharacteristically overcome by some lack of logic and control. Curious. Perhaps there are some unknown toxins in the environment which are causing some disturbance in my higher brain functions....

Fuckin A! A candidate that rocks the status quo and gets real support from the people! :woohoo:

16. Star Trek died after Voyager brough back enough tech for StarFleet to rule the galaxy.
I am still holding out hope that the new Star Trek is going to be like Batman Begins.

Star Trek needs a reboot or a Enterprise Season 5 dammit!

22. Why so insulting?
No one had to "get to" George Takei. He's been a loyal and active Democrat for decades and I'm sure is quite capable of making up his own mind and choose a candidate for his own reasons.

"In 1972, Takei was an alternate delegate from California to the Democratic National Convention. The following year, he ran for City Council of Los Angeles, finishing second, losing by just 1,647 votes.

"Mayor Bradley later appointed Takei to the board of directors of the Southern California Rapid Transit District, making him part of the team that initiated and planned the Los Angeles subway system. Takei was called away from the set of Star Trek: The Motion Picture in 1978 to cast the tie-breaking vote for the creation of the Los Angeles subway system. He served eleven years on the board."
