Reagan Democrats-Who the hell are these people
Please forgive me if this at all sounds like Ageism.

Reagan was re-elected 24 years ago. Reagan Democrats were working class people with familes in their 30s to 50s.

Aren't Reagan Democrats now by reasoning than 54-74 and alot of them now retired or about to retire? Aren't their issues mostly senior issues or college payment issues for the younger ones? I doubt what was important to them 24 years ago is important now.

Also after 24 years you think they might have left the party?

So who are the Reagan Democrats they keep talking about? Because in order to be a Reagan Democrat you would have to be at least 46 to have once voted for a democrat than to have moved to Reagan.

The media is so lazy with not coming up with a new and better term after 24 years.

3. Reagan Democrats are actually Republicans.

They are older voters who registered as Democrats during the New Deal era but have been voting Republican since Reagan and may not have bothered to change their party registration. They vote for Republicans in the general election and they voted for Hillary in the primary.

5. I voted for Reagan. I was young and stupid. He talked lot's of warrior talk about Iran and kicking
some ass, while Carter seemed to be dumbfounded by the whole situation. But with age, hopefully comes some wisdom.

I saw the light several years later. Hey, we all make mistakes.
