Let's Spread "Rumors" About Michelle Obama
If you visit snopes.com you will notice they confirm or debunk a lot of rumors about political candidates and their families (or say the anecdote cannot be verified). I notice that a lot of the rumors about Democrats (true, false or undetermined - mostly the latter two) have a negative connotation and most of the ones about Republicans (undetermined, true or false - usually the first two) show them in a positive light.

I imagine these rumors get started by the Right Wingers who send around e-mails - like a whisper campaign.

Well, I've heard that the Republicans are about to hit Michelle hard. She's still taking heat for her "first time...proud of America" gaffe. And I want to counter that, by pointing out all of her wonderful qualities.

such as
Did she really leave a (high paying) corporate law job to take one in public service?
Did she really create an AmeriCorps program to help train provide leadership and career development training for underprivileged young people?
Did she really develop the University of Chicago's first community service program?

Now a lot of this is straight from the campaign site, but a lot of people don't look at that. People love to feel like they're gossiping, or spreading rumors or that there's something cool and interesting about the stuff they're sharing. So, we need more on Michelle Obama - positive and interesting anecdotes that can be spread as good "rumors." You know, if she had a story like the Orlando mayor (Buddy Dyer) literally prying a pit bull off of a neighbor's terrier. Or living on the street for a week to see what the homeless go through, or...you get my drift.

3. It's Supposed To Be Good Stuff!
Not mundane or negative, in other words, I want to do something like a whisper campaign but with all the positive stuff she's done!

You know, like the literacy program she ran while in college, or the program she organized to send doctors into Chicago's poorest neighborhoods...

I want more, though

6. That black man is Obama, is that not good?
If their kids turn out like their parents I would think that would be a good thing.

Forgive me? :P

2. OK, she's an obscenely rich adulteress who steals money from charities to support her drug habit,
and she also has a demonstrated penchant for plagiarism.

What? OH FUCK, I'm sorry, that's Cindy McCain?

Never mind.

8. You realize of course it was your choice to not put the word "good" in your title?

10. That's Why Rumors Was in Quotes
because I wanted good stuff spread in the underhanded way bad stuff usually is.

No one will defend her if we don't - the campaign responses will seem too political.

5. The best way to respond to such trash is to dish trash yourself....and that means...
dishing trash on Cindy.

I don't think the Obama campaign is going to go that route and will discourage his followers from doing that.

I'm sure his campaign will come up with a way to deal with it.
