All he does is push Obama on people...he's the one that orchestrated the entire thing.

I hope he recovers, he's human and has a family despite all of that...but the Democratic Party is better off without him.

Let's say a prayer for the rat who abandoned Hillary
She kicked his ass and stomped him in Massachusetts and California, but we need to see him as a human who worked for principles at one time.

And as such it is proper to wish him the best in this battle for his life.

Just remember who he once was, what he once meant. Not the rat he became.

First: I bet if it was a Hillary backer the Obamabots would be laughing. "Ed Rendel may have had a stroke!? AHAHAH! WOO! GOOD! SHE LOSES ANOTHER SD!!!"

Of course, we're different, and actually DO care.

Second: I wouldn't be surprised if Hillary went and visited him with Chelsea and Bill, and Obama doesn't even so much as call him.

Be nice if that happened, he recovered, and switched his endorsement saying Obama is nothing more than a spoiled brat.....one can dream...

God shows him the Right way

This medical emergency goes to his ranting fits that I do not believe are from God. When God has his hands in things, I believe that if this is serious, Ted Kennedy may realize it and see where he has gone so wrong in this primary season and other political issues. I pray that GOD shows him the right way.

There's plenty more where these came from. And in fairness, some of the Hillbots there aren't bashing Ted. But these examples should be enough to sicken anybody. Especially that last one, which is a verbatim Freak Republic post right down to spelling "GOD" in capitol letters.

These people are not Democrats. Some of them aren't even DLC'ers, probably. And if any of you cowards quoted above would care to defend your useless selves, kindly speak up now. :grr:

Luckily, when I need examples of Obama fans acting like freeper assholes, I never have to click off this site.

12. I genuinely believe they ARE a minority in her camp. I know someon who
knows one of her delegates here locally, a REAL old-timer Feminist Democratic leader who says they'll do the right thing for the nominee, no matter who that is. I'm certain this woman and her friends would be shocked and embarassed by these kinds of people, just as some Obama supporters are shocked and embarassed by a minority of his supporters.

36. I know!
You can hardly wade through this forum without tripping over yet another Clinton supporter starting a thread that says "fuck you, Barack!", or calls him a lying sack of shit, or demands he be kicked out of the party, along with his supporters.

Or Clinton supporters who post total lies like "Former Obama pastor convicted of child molestation", or "Obama REFUSED to come to the phone when Hillary called". Then the other Clinton supporters jump all over such lies and give those threads 100 recs.

Oh wait...

Or endlessly call his supportists cultists. Or the ones that call him an empty suit with no accomplishments. Or the ones that insist he's the puppet of an evil Cabal. Snoboma. Obigot. Messiah. And hey did you catch the planned influx of Hillary supporters swarming and trashing Obama and his supporters? One's already banned: "On the radio". And yeah, he got recs and praise from your buddies.

You can't see that YOUR side does it too. Hell, you do it.

is the same as calling him a lying sack of shit?

That's absurd. The venom spewed by the Clinton haters here is every bit as bad as anything ever posted on FreeRepublic. It's ridiculous to deny it.

And it's constant. Non-stop hate for months now. Every right-wing smear from the 90s is dredged up and used against the Clintons here hourly.

Sorry, there's just no comparison. I've never seen ONE thread demanding Obama be kicked out of the party. I see such threads against Clinton a few times a week, at least. You guys don't want to just beat Clinton - you want to destroy her.

38. Supposedly. Hard to believe though.
Although to be fair, I looked at the thread linked and many of the posters on that site had nice things to say about Teddy and wished him a speedy recovery. But there were some pretty offensive remarks.

40. I agree. I tried to read through some of the posts once...
and couldn't make it through skimming two threads. I never thought I would see the day that people calling themselves Democrats could suggest a "White Unite for Hillary" and not be called out or ostracized for it.

Unless, getting back to the OP, you mean you're laughing about Ted Kennedy.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt on that one, but you are free to clarify.

Glad you have a sense of humor. It's necessary for you now.

Are you laughing at the OP?

And of course I am not trying to intimidate you. You Hillary backers intimidate too easily to even make it fun; all I have to do is post a picture from a 1950s science fiction classic and you fall apart.

Of course, I mean this will be over soon. Has nothing to do with you personally.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Senator Kennedy, who has many flaws, still has stood up for the average person. He is the last of an era. I do not agree that he continue to be the "father" of the party - as many of his views are out of step with moderate Americans. He has not been a friend to women on either a personal or political front. Still in all, he deserves his due because many times his was a lone voice crying out in times of red state domination. He is too liberal for me.

We are seeing the changing of the guard on many fronts.

Senator Kennedy has contributed mightily to the people of the United States, and is more than just a Massachusetts senator. He is one of the leaders of our entire nation. I am sure there are millions on both sides of the political aisle saying prayers for him right now.

a very hard thing to face. Politics aside, this is a very sick human being who may suffer stroke or death. Politics front and center, Sen. Kennedy has helped Democrats in many ways over the years. While I disagree with his support of BO, I appreciate his long service to our country.

Let's show the same class Hillary does and wish him well without rancor.

87. Disgusting, but sadly, I am not surprised..
The majority of the posters on that forum have their heads so far up the Clintons' asses, they can't seem to get out for air. There's NO excuse for comments like that. It's bad enough they throw anyone who does not go Hillary's way under the bus, but being cold or actually GLOATING about another human being's illness is not only wrong..it's PATHETIC. Shit, even if it were a Republican, I'd never think of posting anything like THAT..immature is not even a stong enough word for it..

"These people are not Democrats. Some of them aren't even DLC'ers, probably."

I tend to agree....I HOPE so, anyway. Either that or they are just so obsessed with one candidate that they are willing to hand over the future of the entire country just because their campaign did not succeed. I guess they really don't care so much about things like Universal Healthcare and ending the war after all.. I even saw some posts on that forum actually PRAISING Bush for the whole 'appeasement' thing..ANYTHING to get a jab in at Obama. Just..pathetic..

With 'Democrats' like these... :grr:

94. I was talking about the nasty comments...
about Teddy, not all of them. I am well aware that there were positive ones too and am glad to see that at least some of the people on that site could put their anger about his endorsement of Barack aside for a second to show concern. But I wasn't just talking about that one thread..I'm talking about in general. That forum largely appears (notice how I say things like 'largely' and the 'majority'...not talking about EVERYONE..) to not only be a pro-Hillary site, which is of course fine...but an anti-Obama site lots of times as well. The HATE spewed at him there and the willingness to stick up for people like McCain, even at times BUSH, is just....at very least, SEVERELY missing the point..not to mention just uncalled for.

So no, not EVERYONE there is like that, but apparently there are some...that's who I was referring to and what I said in my post still stands.

I have already acknowledged that not EVERY Hillary supporter, on that forum or elsewhere, is like those people the OP was talking about. In fact, most are not. I have very close, personal (OFFLINE) friends that support her and they couldn't be any MORE different than that, lol. I also of course realize that there were people on that forum wishing Teddy well and I applaud them for putting their political bias for Hillary aside for a moment to do that. I was talking about the posters the OP was talking about and other such things they have posted on that forum. Okay, maybe I could've made it clearer in my first post--I just thought phrases like "the majority" made it clear that I wasn't talking about EVERYONE..

Moving onnnn..

disagreed with his politics, but sent their thoughts and prayers out to him and his family. Pretty amazing when these Hillary zealots are worse than right wing bloggers.

105. Imaging if someone collected the vilest bottom 100 of he HillHate posts from DU?
Edited on Sat May-17-08 08:28 PM by MethuenProgressive
Unrepeatable obscene sexism, violent threats, homophobic rantings - what if DU was judged only by the ten or twenty percent of the insane HillHate posts?

101. How do we know the OPer didn't post those comments to have something to complain about?
Obama supporters often post here about how they've joined pro-Clinton websites.

104. I love how these Hill supporters think they are above us all
crying fowl because some Obama supporters use colorful language on them. But when one of their own says despicable things, they don't bat an eye and just try and to spin things around on us. Hypocrits, the lot of ya!

107. Just read the link in the OP. The OP cherrypicks a few posts trying to smear all Clinton supporters.
Typical tactic.

With regards to a forum that is sooooooo heavily moderated, there is absolutely no excuse.

116. God shows him the Right way

If the person who posted that bullshit is a Democrat then I'm the King of England.
