My conversation with an ex-republican

Received a call today from a client who was (last time we spoke) a Bush supporter.

He started the call with "hey, I just heard a joke". Then he leads into what some guy had said to him which was to the effect of "Is the US ready for a black guy as president?". At that point my heart started to sink. Please, I thought to myself, don't take us where you are going.

Then he told me that he immediately responded to the other guy - "Did anyone ask us 8 years ago if we were ready for a moron in the White House?"

And then he pronounced that he had re-regitered as an Independent, and so long as Obama gets the nomination, that he's voting Democratic in 2008.

I smiled, and we got back to work.

He knows of one other R that will vote D for BO. This is a good thing.
