McCain Picks On Hillary Clinton!!!!!
McCain, in his interview with Glamour Magazine, had this to say when asked if he felt that Hillary Clinton was being unfairly picked on.

You know, I don’t know because I’m not objective enough to make the judgment. I simply don’t know. But I know the one thing that I try to avoid in my campaigns is feeling sorry for myself. It’s easy to do, pick up the paper this morning, read a story that’s negative, ‘Oh, my God, they’re picking on me.’ You just can’t do that. You just can’t do that.

get out of the kitchen. Sorry to sound snobby, but...who knows, maybe the media's GOP loving in the GE will sink Obama. But if Hillary Clinton blames her democratic primary loss entirely on the media, then why would she survive the media during the GE any better?

I edited it immediately after I posted it. It was a knee-jerk, immature reaction. I didn't delete the first part though, but I added something to better explain my thinking. Let me know if you still think that I should delete the first part. I just think that it was ridiculous for Hillary Clinton to actually use the "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen" slogan. I do think that McCain would be complaining non-stop if he got the media attention that Hillary Clinton did though. (in case anyone is wondering, my original post just said "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen", quoting Hillary Clinton. Not too bad, but it makes me look foolish unless I at least provide some clarificiation, which hopefully I did a bit).

He doesn't know what it's like to be questioned as a female candidate for any office.

And Hillary bringing up a comedy sketch show in a debate as supposed evidence that EVERYONE IS AGAINST HER! really made her seem stoic in comparison. She shouldn't make silly accusations of that caliber unless youtube vanishes off the face of the earth, because her complaints have been on record for the past year. It was as ridiculous as the "We don't need a McCain cheerleader!" accusation, after her and Bill Clinton had been on tour touting McCain's experience as a "moderate republican". By the way, I don't get the "Obama cried!" thing, when Hillary Clinton actually did cry, which I had absolutely no problem with (though her rant did get a bit disingenuous sounding towards the end). However, some of her supporters complain about sexism and then make some flippant remark about how Obama is effete or "lacking balls" or whatever, which just sounds stupid.

25. at the start, the some of the media focus was sexist (hello, Matthews), but most of it has been on
her own campaign's failings, so I don't think it's a question of media bias now, just reporting what's happening now to her campaign.

i think the complants about sexism in recent reporting are widely overblown and very subjective. For it to be sexist, it needs to reinforce existing stereo-types, not simply indicate that she is actually female.

I would say that the barrage of posts by hill supporters talking about her looking fabulous and what shes wearing did more to harm her reputation as serious contender.

34. i disagree,
modern misogyny objectifies women by making their appearance paramount to their thoughts and choices.
By bringing her appearance to the table yourselves, you essentially create a tieback to the idea that she is an object.

or something, i think, OW! my head hurts.
