KY will put Obama over the top in terms of pledged delegates
Unless Clinton wins better than 70%-30%.

If she amazingly wins KY by 86% or better, she'll have to win OR by 73% or more to stop it from happening there as well.

1. I think she will win there by 20 points.
It won't be as big as West Virginia but it will still be big.

5. It is pretty amazing that KY is the state to give him the majority
even if it is part of a loss in that specific primary.

2. He only needs 14 pledged delegates to break the 1627 barrier
and he will get that in Oregon without issue.

52 in Oregon, 51 in Kentucky up for grabs.

This will end on Tuesday...

24. a few things
1> it is 2025.

2> if they add MI and FL, they will likely be 1/2 votes.

3> Hell have enough anyways

4> the tipping point at pledged means a number of SD's will go to his side.

8. You mean KY and OREGON, don't you? Hint: Their Primaries are both on Tues.
I don't mean to be snarky, but Oregon deserves as much credit and notice as Kentucky.

For me personally, it's a double header, as I was born in KY and now live in OR.. LOL.

10. KY 's polls close first
he should get delegates there first, and hopefully enough to put him over the top before OR starts reporting.

I can't help myself from being totally enthralled that both my birth-state and my current state of residence are both involved, and I'm sticking to my story.

I'm hoping that KY brings Obama within 2-3 delegates ... LOL

13. Clinton has to win over 85 percent due to the low amounts of delegates remaining.
Edited on Sat May-17-08 09:36 PM by Zachstar
There is a reason there is only 17 left between Obama and the Majority period.

Even if Clinton won both states the number would go DOWN because there are very few delegates left afterwards.

She has to win both states by over 85 percent.

Only Clinton stunners in both states could keep Obama from getting the Majority period. And even then Obama will be LESS than 17 away come next primary.

Oregon will be icing on the cake.

18. The only thing he would clinch is a majority of pledged delegates.
He'd still be short of a majority of total delegates.

I should have written that since he's already clinched the superdelegate lead, Obama will clinch the delegate lead--not the nomination--with 15 more pledged delegates. Of course he would need 2025 delegates clinch the title of presumptive nominee.

30. 31 more Super Delegates
and he gets the nomination if you think he'll split the delegates out of MT and SD and she wins PR by 25 points.
