9. Sure
My first exposure to her was the Dem response to the SOTU in January 2008 and I was underwhelmed to say the least. I have heard a lot of positive things about her here, but would need a helluva lot more than a picture to be convinced that she is suited for the VP role (Please, Mr, Bush, please -- came across as whining milquetoast. IMO. Note - that is my ONLY exposure to her and I am open to correction).

I like Governor Richardson for his experience and his temperament -- which meshes well with Senator Obama.

You asked...

:)

response to the SOTU was amazing. he is my first choice.
plus the fact that he dissed bush by not shaking his hand makes him aces in my book.

Obama needs to shore up national security/foreign policy credentials, she brings nothing to the table.

15. She's leading the way toward Alternative Energy by vetoing Coal fueled power plants.
She's standing against Church incursion into matters of state by being a Catholic who supports Pro-Choice, inspite of the Bishop's censure.

She's a proactive defender of Public Education.

She's a fiscal moderate.

She's leading the way toward Quality of Life in Kansas Elder Care facilities.

She's a proactive administrator for efficient government, and . . .

We love Kathleen Sebelius.

21. Sebelius is my 1st choice for V.P.
Governor with a history of reaching across the aisle to solve problems. Being female is a plus for her this election, but isn't the main reason why she's a good pick. Seems like she would be great at helping Obama to govern with his new message of national unity to solve problems. Seems to have the type of personality that everybody loves and virtually nobody hates.

22. I thought her response to the SOTU was excellent. Positive, Understated but firm.
You hear people complaining about that response, but I just saw something entirely different than they did.

If people were disappointed because she didn't kick ass, my expectation is that WE are the ones who are going to have to be strong on the issues. It's not top-down on the issues anymore.

25. Critics will say that she needs more energy in her speeches
so if she is nominated, she needs an energetic speech to put those types of complacency complaints aside.

26. Energy is good! She's a Mid-Westerner, and a techno-crat, so high energy isn't going to
translate to animation. It's a cultural thing.

I can imagine more energy creating more emphasis in her speech patterns, especially if she gets to go after what she thinks is best policy-wise. Her primary responsibility should be to teach people about their issues.

27. of Kansas.
Pledging independent leadership to move Kansas forward, Kathleen Sebelius became the 44th Governor of the State of Kansas in 2003. She was reelected to a second term in 2006.

At the heart of Governor Sebelius’ administration is a commitment to growing the Kansas economy and creating jobs; ensuring every Kansas child receives a quality education; protecting Kansas families and communities; improving access to quality, affordable health care; and taking advantage of the state’s renewable energy assets.

Governor Sebelius serves on the National Governors Association’s Executive Committee and is co-chair of the National Governors Association’s initiative, Securing a Clean Energy Future. Sebelius chairs the Education Commission of the States and as past chair of the Democratic Governors Association, she currently serves on the DGA Executive Committee.

28. I like that ticket!
At the very least, I think it would be to our advantage if the VP is someone who has a record of strength on women's issues no matter whether they are male or female.

29. I'm split between her and Biden. I was leaning Sebelius...
..but Biden's comments on Appeasergate reminded me of how much of an asset he would be on the presidential ticket.
