I'm an Obama supporter, but...
if he wants to select Bill Richardson for VP, that would be fine with me. :D

2. Webb said this morning he doesn't want the VP spot
Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA) was on Meet The Press this morning and said not only was he not interested in the Vice President slot, but he would discourage the Democratic nominee for even asking him. “I would, I would highly discourage them is probably the best way to say it," Webb said.

So we can quit posting those threads.....

Richardson? He's OK and acceptable ... I want Howard Dean, who said he will not be heading up
the DNC in the fall and wants to pursue other things.

3. They all say that until they get the call
and then they are breathless.

6. No, they don't. They say things like "Oh, well...I don't really want it."
Or "I never saw myself in that role." They don't use words like "discourage" which is poli-speak for "fuck, no."

4. Well, seeing as they have NOTHING IN COMMON, that's probably a swift move on Webb's part.
Of course, that won't stop people from transposing onto Webb the qualities they desire, and ignoring the pesky facts that it is a poor match in a myriad of ways.

However, I will say that Webb is, in his old age, learning diplomacy. In the old days he would have said "Not only no, but hell no."

7. Webb would be a great choice, but he would be even better
in a leadership position in the Senate.
