I'm so PROUD of our TWO DEM CANDIATES! and proud of US!

We who have plodded on since our outrage over Elections 2000 and 2004.

We may not see the impact us Lefties and Middies have had as Internet Users right now...but what I love is that the "Internet's Folks/Progressives of the New Media" are having an impact in moving our Democratic Frontrunners closer towards "Populism" in their speeches (CNN just showed long segments of both Obama in Oregon and Clinton in Kentucky) and both of them are getting closer to what we here slogging and Fax/Phoning our CongressCritters for years about.

Going after the Oil Companies, Cleaner Air, Taxing the UBER WEALTHY in line with what most Average Americans pay in taxes, and going after the "Enron Tax Breaks" and back to the Carter Years with a focus on Conservation plus really refining our Health Insurance System so that the BIG PHARMA doesn't run the show.

Both Clinton and Obama have revised, refined and added to their Democratic Speeches so that BOTH are now
"In Sync" and "Tag Teaming" the Repugs in their proposals for what the DEMOCRATIC PARTY WILL DO...and CAN DO...if American's dig in and FIGHT FOR THE AGENDA!

Neither one trashed the other. They both focused on their specific corners of the Democratic Agenda picking out the parts that would appeal to the constituencies they were addressing. It wasn't pandering it was UNITY OF MESSAGE...from different "nuanced" perspectives.

I'm proud that Hillary is still "slogging on" as she's dragged ever leftward and proud of Obama that even though he is "political enough" to now recognize the "need, politically" to wear that "Flag Pin" he seems ever more Leftward in his policy speeches and Hillary who doesn't wear the "Flag pin" is now trying to work to unify the Democratic Message as she knows she will lose.

These are both great Candidates....we should be very proud of them. They are listening to "us on the internets" and threading their way through the "eye of the Media Needle" navigating through the "Likkudist, Ant-Gay Rights, Anti-Gun Owners and Right to Life Coalition and Right Wing and other agenda of the Right Wing Mind Sets" to FORGE THE NEW DEMOCRATIC COALITION!

Both of these candidates are FORMIDABLE! They appeal to blocks of voters and some appeal to certain segments who like some of both but not "all of both" and are struggling with it all.

THEY ARE GOOD...And, that they are NOW focused on REPUGS AND McCAIN...they are even BETTER AS THE "TAG TEAM" that the REPUGS ALWAYS DREADED when the disenfranchised of America under Repug Rule would REVOLT...and even DEMS who were Disenfranchised would Revolt to change that DLC IMAGE that's WAY PAST IT'S TIME of being a useful rallying point.

Good on Clinton for being pressured to move left and good on Obama for recognizing it...

EOM...peace...Koko

3. Using populist language means nothing when the policies aren't populist...
Its nice that both candidates are paying lip service to populism, but they would have to do a lot more than that for us to be proud of either of them. In addition, I see no evidence that either of them are drifting leftward politically. On energy, the environment, health care, etc. they are both moderates, I see nothing populist about any of their economic policies.
