Sasha Obama Raises Hell at Lew's Dari-Freez

In Milwaukie, Oregon:

Obama brought his family to the counter to order sundaes,
dodging waitresses carrying trays loaded with fries, eggs and
sandwiches. His youngest daughter, Sascha, tried to place her request to
the row of new photographers behind the counter.

“These men aren’t taking your order,” Obama laughed. “These men
aren’t helping.”

Obama placed the order and swung into the dining area for a
couple of quick handshakes and photos. First up was the Bowles family,
dressed in motorcycle chaps and fresh from church. “Have you been out
biking?” Obama asked the father, Dwight Bowles.

“We have,” Dwight said. Want to go for a ride?”

The Senator demurred and posed for a photo with Dwight’s wife,
Pamela, and two young daughters. The family confided that they are
Republicans but Obama fans.

“We’re interested in what he stands for - change,” Pamela Bowles
said. “When you listen to him speak, he doesn’t sound like a politician.
He sounds sincere.” The Page

Have you noticed that the oldest seems to be a real "Daddy's Girl?"

In most photos she is the one closest to him and they are usually hugging.

I was a Daddy's Girl and it gives me fond memories of hanging on to my Dad for dear life.

We just had a bond.

I'm sure the Obamas will do their damnedest to "keep it real" ... and keep the press from a feeding frenzy ... but I can hear the saliva hitting the floor in D.C. press rooms even from here.

Those kids are adorable ... hug magnets with smiles that could cause global warming. I'd melt in a nanosecond.

17. Hard to tell until puberty ... when cartilage (ears and nose) takes adult form.

But her forehead, brow, cheek bones, jaw line, and flashing eyes look like about 70% mom and 30% dad to me. I think Michelle is VERY attractive ... but I'm very taken with attitude, body language, spirit in the eyes, expression and other things she has in wonderful abundance. She impresses me as smart, kind, loving, and feisty ... my favorite attributes.

13. My two daughters...

...ages 7 and 8--were talking about Barack Obama and asking all kinds of questions
about the election. They're very interested in politics and Obama--because my husband
and I talk about the primary a lot.

My eight-year-old asked me where Obama's two daughters would live, when he was President.

I told her that they would live in the White House and they both said, "Oh my gosh, they
get to live there? Why don't you run for President?"

Obama called me during the Iowa caucuses and my daughters said, "Can we go visit them
in the White House? You know him mommy, he would let you visit. He called you!"

LOL! Yeah...me and about a million other people! :)

I can't wait for that beautiful family to live in our White House!
