Theory: Hillary's Camp Divided Into 2 Factions, Concede vs. Convention Fight
Edited on Mon May-19-08 08:59 AM by cryingshame
ala the Cheney/OSP v. Powell.

I think her advisors and media surrogates are divided into 2 factions.

One more level headed says play nice til end of primaries and concede.

The other says take it to the Convention. And possibly even to damage Obama for 08 so Hillary can try again in 12.

McAuliffe and Wolfson seem to be in the latter faction. They probably represent the most regressive elements within the Democratic party.

Over the last few months, there have been too many similarities between how Hillary runs her campaign and how Bush has allowed the Federal Govt. to operate.

I personally do not think Hillary has a strong enough core and am very glad she did not get the nomination.

The fact she is allowing the appearance of a rift within the Democratic party and the charges of sexism to fly is not a sign of a team player.

4. well if you want to get all technical AND alliterative
but seriously, the GOP is very happy to see, promote and fabricate the appearance of a rift in the Democratic party involving women and Hillary supporters.

And Hillary and some of her surrogates seem happy to play into that.

6. It's not the Obama supporters who need the votes of Hillary's supporters --
it's the Democratic Party and, I sincerely believe, our children and grandchildren.

7. nothing is going to happen...
at the end of the primary it will be clear that obama is the leader of the party. hillary will concede and do what is best for her and her party...be gracious in defeat and make it clear to her supporters that obama will lead the party to victory in November.
