Bury your head in the sand and pretend it's not true. I'm sorry, but there are some things that are more important than sitting home pouting on election day because your candidate isn't on the ballot. And YES, the Supreme Court is one of those issues! Seriously, do any of you Hillary supporters honestly feel comfortable with the idea of McCain picking the next couple SCOTUS justices? Are you really that sure that he won't pick more like Clarence Thomas, Alito or Roberts?

You can call it fear tactics all you want, it does NOT change the fact that it is a very real possibility if McCain becomes the next president!

1. Thank you!!
This needed to be posted.

McCain = Loss of Roe vs Wade... PERIOD!! Maybe not in his time in Office but with 2-3 additions to the court it WILL happen sooner or later.

2. McCain has promised to pick conservative "strict constructionist" judges
And, John Paul Stevens is in his mid 80s and will likely step down within the next few years. Stevens has been fairly liberal over the years and has been a reliable pro-choice vote.

12. whoever said that is stupid. Most Obama supporters in polls
have said they would vote for Hillary if she was the nominee.

11. Actually, most of us do need each other.
If Hillary was the nominee, I would vote for her because of the Supreme Court. My life is too important for me to risk a McCain vote or a write-in vote for Obama.

4. But an Obama supporter was mean on a messageboard...
..therefore it's perfectly acceptable to vote for a vehemently anti-choice candidate who wants us to be at war for 100 years.

I mean seriously....someone on a message board with an Obama sig line said something mean!!! Don't you get it?!?!?! They used bad words!!!! And it was mean!!! Women's right's and reproductive freedom and safety mean nothing and pale in comparison to the importance of someone on a message board not being mean to Hillary Clinton.

5. So calling 18 million Democratic voters "bitter ignorant racists" helps... how?
Edited on Mon May-19-08 09:23 AM by MethuenProgressive
We must defeat McCain. That's why I'm backing the stronger candidate: Hillary Clinton.

14. Sorry, but I do NOT want to take the chance
A Democratic Congress gave us Alito and Roberts. No thanks.

Besides, even though we should have control of Congress after November, who knows what 2010 holds. I don't want to take that chance.

10. McCain voted Against Equal Pay, and he voted against the clinic violence bill
which would've prevented bombings at reproductive clinics.

16. That's like saying "in a major earthquake, your fine china may get broken." It is certainly true,
but there is a lot more which will crumble as a direct result.
