1. They are tabulated the day of the vote
same as other states, so it will likely be tomorrow evening before real numbers start to come in...

2. Are the mailed ballots tabulated throughout the day so available for release at 7pm by chance?
I'm an East Coaster and am hoping for good news before midnight!

5. Voting ends at 8 pm
The mail-ins are ready to be tabulated, I think they have to wait until the polls close to tabulate, but I'm not 100% on that. I think it takes a little while to start getting results, half hour to an hour. It would be a late night for those on the east coast.

15. When are the ballots counted?

All ballots are counted on election day - none are counted before. No results can be announced until 8:00 p.m. on election night. The Tuesday before election day, county election officials may begin preparing the ballots for counting by opening the return identification envelope and the secrecy envelope. The ballots are secured until election day.

6. Due to the voting being primarily by mail
I assume there will be no instant call here. Without exit polls covering the mail-in vote, there really is not going to be a way to call the race until official results start being reported.

8. Great, that means they'll spend all their time harping about Kentucky.

9. There is only voting by mail, so it would be next to impossible to
do any reliable exit polling.

So it all closes at 8pm, ugh... that's even later!

13. Yes there are polling locations
you can either mail in your ballot or vote at a polling place.

11. It has been too late to mail them for days now so they have to be dropped off
at specific locations by the deadline.

14. The polls are still open until 8:00 and everyone has the option
of going to the county clerks office and voting in person. While vote by mail is convenient and saves money ANAT, I sorta miss going to the polls and seeing all my neighbors and making the act of casting a vote.I dunnno, filling out the ballot and mailing it off just doesn't seem like much of a ritual for one of the more important things I do in the course of a year
