Rove shares his GE projections with Clinton Campaign before he releases it to the public???
Rove's maps

The estimates of Karl Rove -- not, it must be said, a neutral analyst -- show Clinton stronger than Obama, Jake Tapper just reported.

The big difference: The polling he's citing has Clinton winning Florida and Ohio; Obama loses Florida, while Ohio is a toss-up; he does put Virginia into play.

Interestingly, Bill Clinton was citing these estimates in Scappoose, Oregon before I'd seen them reported anywhere.

Electoral maps put together by the consulting firm helmed by Karl Rove, and obtained by ABC News, show Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, to be a stronger general election candidate in a hypothetical general election match-up against Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., than Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois.

Former President Clinton, campaigning for his wife in the Columbia River town of Scappoose, told a crowd Saturday that his wife "has respected you enough to campaign in rural as well as suburban and urban communities."

He did not mention Obama but cited an estimate by Republican strategist Karl Rove that Hillary Clinton leads McCain in a composite of nationwide polls, while Obama trails McCain. The claim didn't seem to faze the Obama camp.

3. The Dem party might be over for you and like-minded people, because she would win the GE.

5. There isn't a chance in hell she'd win the GE
She's never had a chance and she never should have run in the first place. She's been the RW's preferred candidate since Bill left office.

13. She'd win
What Rove and Co. fear most, though, is the Obama effect on down ticket races as proven in the past three special elections.

2. Since when has Hillary been on Rove's best buddies list?
Probably since she started using his tactics to divide the party.

4. Karl Rove is working for them. I suspected it for some time, but now I am convinced.
He did say a woman senator democrat asked him for help and he was surprised about who it was coming from.

15. When did he say that?
They certainly have a long history of hiring sleazy operatives with RW connections (see Dick Morris, Mark Penn). If they are secretly working with Karl Rove, however, that would be earth-shattering news.

If they were paying him money, I'm pretty sure it would have shown up on their finance reports. However, I bet Herr Rove would gladly help her out in exchange for some sort of favor, like... I don't know... a promise not to prosecute him if she's elected?

Just speculatin', of course.

20. I believe he said this in an article in The Hill.
Who said her campaign would be paying him? LOL. The Clinton loyalists have separate accounts and budgets for stuff like this where they don't want their real dirty mess showing up in FEC reports.

21. The Clintons are very close to blowing the whole facade off of DC.
For years, we've been treated to a spectacle of 'Democrats' vs. 'Republicans,' with 'good guys' like Bill and 'bad guys' like Rove (or vice versa if you're a Repub).

The Clintons should take care that they don't reveal that the political scene in DC is more like pro wrestling than about governance. By cozying up to 'bad guys' like Scaife, Murdoch, Limbaugh, O'Reilly and now Rove, they're perilously close to revealing that DC is all one club where all the millionaires are really good friends when they're not on TV slamming each other.

Hillary accepting ANYTHING from Rove then we are in bigger trouble than I thought. If Hillary is willing to use Rove to achieve her goals...then if she gets in who else is she willing to accept?

Rove has committed Treason by outing Valerie Plame and other agents for political purposes.

How is it possible that anyone on DU can give Rove any credibility?
