The following is a letter from Counselor to the President Ed Gillespie to NBC News President Steve Capus:

You are a lame duck riding out a failed unpopular presidency. You are lucky if we even mention you in our news stories at all. How in the hell do you expect us to reach our advertising demographic when over 70% of the population disapproves of you. The coveted 24 to 54 demographic are all Democrats now and supporting Barack Obama. You once had some marketing appeal after 9/11 when most ate up your BS. We in the media, like terrified lapdogs, did your bidding out of fear of having limited access to the White House. You are now only relevant as a story about what you are screwing up. You lived by the media sound bite and you'll now die by it. We can't sell Pop Tarts and Fords pushing your BS anymore. They had all that political capital after 9/11. If it had been President Gore, he could have done so much good with it. We could have rebuilt American industry with a green energy program. We could lead the world in scientific research. We could have health care and college education for all citizens. However, those simple minded idiots blew it all on some of the worst possible idealogical crap imaginable; wars and tax cuts for the wealthy. It's like standing inline at the convenience store watching someone spend every last penny they have on lottery tickets when they should be buying food for their kids.
