Republicans are backing a new Candidate: Hillary Clinton

President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush gushed about Hillary Rodham Clinton's experience yesterday - saying she could handle the immense challenges of the presidency better than any other Democrat.

Clinton cited Karl Rove, saying that "I was the stronger candidate,” said Clinton. “Somebody go a hold of his analysis and there it is.”

Clinton was referring to electoral maps drawn up by Karl Rove’s consulting firm that were obtained by ABC and forecast her currently leading McCain in the electoral college by 53 votes (259-206), while Obama trails McCain by 17 (238-221)

And both her and Bill have said: "If this were the republican primary she would already be the nominee"

4. Some Clinton supporters are now denying she said it
they refuse to believe their lying eyes (and ears).

Others are flat out backing up Rove, the same guy who screwed up on GOP predictions for 2006.

My oh my.

6. "If this were the republican primary she would already be the nominee"
This was simply a reference to the fact that, had our contests been winner-take-all instead of proportionate, the numbers would have favored Hillary. If you honestly think Hillary could have won a GOP primary, please tell me what you're drinking -- I could use a case.

7. They're vultures
They want Hillary to win so that they can attack her for four years and win back the executive. They are scared of the new voters Obama is registering and want to suppress their votes. They are scared of the coat tails Obama's candidacy brings with him to change the balance of power in the legislature.

The republicans, in other words, know more about the reality of yet another Clinton presidency than Hillary's supporters do.

And, no doubt, they would love to stomp out the populism that is sweeping the nation right now because FINALLY a candidate has come forth to do battle with the entrenched powers. Many of us have begged for the democrats to do this for years. Finally someone has.

And this is one big reason why Clinton will never be an acceptable candidate to me. She's the worst thing that could happen to the democratic party at this time.

14. David Brooks claims that Bush believes that she will be most likely
Edited on Mon May-19-08 07:07 PM by Hansel
to protect his legacy regarding the Iraq War. I'm pretty suspicious of the close relationship they have with papa Bush and think this might be pretty close to the truth. They are going to go in there and clean up juniors mess for him just like they promised pappy.

The premature attacks on Obama make it clear that the Republicans want her as the nominee. I doubt it is because they think she will be easiest to beat. The Democratic is going to win no matter who it is. They just are more afraid of Obama and what it will mean for Bush's legacy than they are of her.

Karl Rove is a criminal and a traitor. It absolutely disgusts me how the Clintons fawn over him. This is a man who is currently being investigated for possibly being involved in imprisoning a political adversary and who most likely outed a CIA agent to punish her husband. To speak of this pig as though anything he has to say is relevant is simply vile.

18. Oh, it's dead
it's just like one of those zombies in (pick a zombie movie). It walks, it moves, it has semblance of life. But it's dead just the same. And just like the zombies in "Return of the Living Dead", it NEEDS MORE BRAINS.
