1. Its coming
Get rid of Abrams or Gregory. They are assclowns.

Why the hell not make MSNBC the Democratic alternative to Fox?

3. Stick her on at 10:00, opposite of Hannity and Colmes!!!
That's my hope. But I would be happy with them removing both Abrams and Gregory regardless.

4. I don't think it should be a democratic alternative, but a progressive alternative.

Edited on Mon May-19-08 07:38 PM by high density
His show doesn't seem to have any purpose after that. (Not that it has much purpose now.)

20. Abrams may suck, but his color scheme is even worse!
I simply cannot stand watching the graphical trainwreck monstrosity that is Abrams' show. Even if you get past that (not possible), Abrams is personally annoying. He discusses the same issue every day, using exactly the same argument.

11. Rachel Rocks!
She needs her own show. I wrote MSNBC after her first sub for Keith. Get rid of Dan Abrams or Gregory or (PLEASE PLEASE)Scarborough and give this woman an hour of her own!

I wrote them again after the show Friday. She was just a touch nervous, I think, the first time, but that was all gone on Friday. She just owned it!

17. Agree. She really grew into the show in her second outing!
She definitely was nervous her first time out of the gate, but has already improved by leaps and bounds.

And for the record, I liked her uttering of "BUSHED" better than Keith's. :)

Dan Abrams is touting the Suffolk U polls and saying "Hillary has closed the gap!" Lol. He needs a legal show or something, he doesn't really bring much to the table in terms of politics. Give Rachel his slot!

Olbermann is great at what he does though. I'm interested to see what type of format Rachael would come up with. I bet its gonna be fairly different from Keith's.

27. I agree - but Maddow is a neighbor, visits state fairs, nice person, worth listening to even if
you disagree (as I do re Clinton), a sharp mind that sees facts others don't, never has her facts wrong (albeit we disagree on the implications of her facts re Clinton and Obama) -

I can not think of a nicer person to get ahead in the business.

She deserves every accolade she receives.

26. I remember hearing her say on the radio a few years ago " people who look
like me are never pundits on the tv" or something like that. She sure changed her tune. Tho' she does change her looks when she goes on the tv machine.

Come on give Rachel her own tv show!

40. Rachel is an awesome analyst and commentator
I am not sure if she is best suited to the role of anchor, asking experts to give their opinions.

I think most of us would rather hear Rachel's analysis than watch her interview someone else.

I think Dr Maddow would do great in a more serious and grown-up version of a Crossfire-type format.

I can see her co-hosting a discussion programme with a Conservative and wiping the floor with her opponent every time! B-)

The problem would be finding a Conservative with the guts to go up against Rachel 4 or 5 times every week! ;-)
