4. McCain will Kick Obama's ass
at looking like a dumb shit in the debates.

Obama (first black president of the Harvard Law Review, graduated magna cum laude from Harvard)
Vs
McCain who graduated almost last in a class of 900..

LOL, I cant wait to watch the debates..

There are some people that still think everything out of Obama's mouth is made up B.S. and that he is racist and hates America. The low-information vote will be tough to win, and many still buy all of his talking points.

9. Si!! We need to attack McInsane hard. The guy is a complete pandering flakey mess
it is almost too easy but I'd like to see Obama shoot a few cannon balls his way rather than having to just respond.

11. Also
saying that he would talk to Iran without pre-conditions is
a pretty idiotic thing to say, politically speaking.

Obama just handed the swiftboaters a huge talking point right there.

:wow:

16. Pre-conditions: Cowboy diplomacy, asking them to kow-tow to us.
The RW tried to spin it into something it wasn't, as if Obama, Kim Jong Il, and Ahmadinejad were all gonna go on a cruise and have romantic moonlight walks on the beach.

His point is that our Iran policy has failed, as has our Cuba policy, and every other policy where we severed ties unless other nations submitted to our will.... and Obama used their swift-boat attacks on him for it to boomerang their failures right back at them. ;)

18. If we don't take him seriously, Obama is a sure loser in the GE
If its so easy, then why has linking McCain to Shrub not worked yet. It hasn't affected McCain at all. His poll numbers don't go below 45%.

24. He will ...
I will say it again, BO is playing chess ...

He treated Hill with kid gloves because he knew she had to have a VERY soft landing ...

He won't treat McCain with kid gloves ... The "losing his bearings" statement was just great - he punked McCain's people into being the ones to bring up his age ... Even that one statement, he never really took even that level of shots at Hill ...

Gloves are off ... It won't be the usual stuff, but he will take his shots ...

12. Obama is a hit with the media, but electing him would be a grave error
Many years ago, a great hitter named Paul Waner was nearing the end of his long career. He entered a ballgame with 2,999 hits — one hit away from the 3,000-hit landmark — which so many hitters want to reach, but which relatively few actually do reach.

Waner hit a ball that the fielder did not handle cleanly but the official scorer called it a hit, making it Waner’s 3,000th. Paul Waner then sent word to the official scorer that he did not want that questionable hit to be the one that put him over the top.

The official scorer reversed himself and called it an error. Later Paul Waner got a clean hit for number 3,000.

What reminded me of this is the great fervor that many seem to feel over the prospect of the first black president of the United States.

No doubt it is only a matter of time before there is a black president, just as it was only a matter of time before Paul Waner got his 3,000th hit. The issue is whether we want to reach that landmark so badly that we are willing to overlook how questionably that landmark is reached.

There is no reason why someone as arrogant, foolishly clever, and ultimately dangerous as Barack Obama should become president — especially not at a time when the threat of international terrorists with nuclear weapons looms over 300 million Americans.

Although Senator Obama has presented himself as the candidate of new things — using the mantra of “change” endlessly — the cold fact is that virtually everything he says about domestic policy is straight out of the 1960s and virtually everything he says about foreign policy is straight out of the 1930s.

We paid a terrible price for such 1960s notions in the years that followed, in the form of soaring crime rates, double-digit inflation, and double-digit unemployment. During the 1960s, ghettoes across the countries were ravaged by riots from which many have not fully recovered to this day.

The violence and destruction were concentrated not where there was the greatest poverty or injustice but where there were the most liberal politicians, promoting grievances, and hamstringing the police.

Internationally, the approach that Senator Obama proposes — including the media magic of meetings between heads of state — was tried during the 1930s. That approach, in the name of peace, is what led to the most catastrophic war in human history.

Everything seems new to those too young to remember the old and too ignorant of history to have heard about it.

Thomas Sowell, Africian American

14. He's the best we got.
If you don't like Obama you should be really pissed that Hillary used her power and control of party apparatus in running this year. She's a terrible candidate, and probably most responsible for you not having a viable alternative to Obama.

19. You've hit on something, Obama's approach lacks originality and imagination.
He's offering nothing that we haven't seen before, and there's no sign that any of it is working. He hasn't been able to define McCain whatsoever.

23. If only there were a prize for "DU member most likely to be put on ignore"
Then BenDavid would get a taste of what it feels like to be a winner! B-)

You know what reminds me of Nazi ideology?

People who seize land using military force and then deny basic human rights to the established population. All because of ethnic or religious differences and a belief that they are some kind of Master Race or God's "chosen people".

But - y'know - hey - maybe that's just me?
