Breaking News: Hillary Clinton now thinks Karl Rove's a political genius
Edited on Mon May-19-08 11:16 PM by votesomemore
Today, Clinton began citing Rove as the ultimate expert on who was the strongest Democratic candidate in the Nov. 4 general. And we've got the exclusive maps below to prove it, all four confidential pages.

No, really!

Campaigning in Kentucky today for tomorrow's....

...primary vote, Clinton sought to justify why she's staying in a race it's virtually impossible for her to win mathematically. She said, as she often does, "“There has been a lot of analysis about which of us is stronger to win against Sen. McCain, and I believe I am the stronger candidate.” Fine. Very familiar.

Then, she veered off into new territory. "Just today," Clinton said, "I found some curious support for that position when one of the TV networks released an analysis done by -- of all people -- Karl Rove, saying that I was the stronger candidate. Somebody got a hold of his analysis and there it is.”

In his short tenure as TV analyst Rove has become famous for his 8x10 colored U.S. maps showing whatever he's trying to demonstrate. He's long been renowned among co-workers for mining details and all sorts of fascinating tidbits from material that others completely missed.

His latest four pages of Fox maps (see below) show Clinton leading the presumptive Republican nominee, Sen. John McCain, by more than 50 electoral votes in a hypothetical matchup based on current state polls. And another Rove map shows Obama trailing McCain slightly.

In an e-mail this evening Rove confirmed his most recent data does indeed show what Clinton is citing. And he passed along copies of his copyrighted maps, which we are publishing below.

So Clinton endorses McClone and Rove endorse McClinton. Isn't that a sweet little bed of inbreds.

pathetic. I'm sorry, i try not to be insulting, but it is getting simply pathetic.

4. Honestly, I think Rove is a political genius
You can't argue that he's been pretty successful. Doesn't mean I condone his methods.

6. Considering Rove has engineered the demise of the Republican Party...
for at least a generation, I'd find it pretty hard to describe him as a genius.

8. His job was to get and keep Bush in office at all costs.
To that end, he did brilliantly. Bushco was never much concerned about longterm consequences. He is the Emperor Palpatine of the whole operation.

7. I agree with you. They call him "The Architect" for a reason.
He's a genius the way Hitler was a genius. Both men's intelligence was fostered by a total and complete lack of conscience and humanity.

18. I'd say the more apt comparison would be Goebbels.
After all, he was "Propaganda Minister." Cheney and Rumsfeld have pretty clear analogues in Himmler and Goring, as well.

If you think about it, if the Bu$h administration weren't real and were just characters in a movie, the movie would be panned because its Third Reich analogy would be seen as too heavy-handed and obvious.

20. He can be compared with any one of those losers...

who took their country down with them. I suppose that in a twisted way they can be called "geniuses".

And Rove's maps are BS.

Look who he got elected. Getting that piece 'o crap installed as president qualifies as evil genius as far as I am concerned.

10. So let me get this straight
It's bad to take a page out of Rove's playbook when HRC says "shame on you" for it, but it's okay when she does it for her own purposes? :wtf:

12. She forgot to add that Rove would do anything to give her the nomination!
Of course she digs Rove's math - he desperately wants Ms. Polarization to win!

Quoting Rove but not acknowledging his agenda is beyond stupid, it's fucking off the wall crazy.

Everybody can see how transparent (and evil) Rove's agenda is --- except Hillary.

She's losing it, really losing it.

19. The congress going towards teh Dems si Annertia, nothing more
And remember... They NEVER got a filibuster proof majority, Hell, TECHNICALLY they DON'T have a majority, it's just that the two indis (well a real independent and Joe "I-love-me-some-Mccain-c**k" LIEberman) have caused with the Dems.
That has prevented any REAL useful legislation from happening... like IMPEACHMENT!
The thing is the gop can now scream (thankfully much fewer people believe them) that it's REALLY the Dem's fault the economy is crashing... more like imploding imho, and "See they had complete control of congress for TWO YEARS and they didn't FIX anything!

There's a great Kosh line from Babylon 5:
"The avalanche has started. It is too late for the pebbles to vote."

23. Republicans are in BIG trouble this year.
Democratic Raid on House Seats May Not Be Over

Rep. Travis Childers is congratulated by his daughter Lauren after beating GOP contender Greg Davis in a Mississippi congressional district that has been reliably Republican.
Rep. Travis Childers is congratulated by his daughter Lauren after beating GOP contender Greg Davis in a Mississippi congressional district that has been reliably Republican. (By C. Todd Sherman -- Associated Press)

The special-election victory by Democrat Travis Childers last week sent a signal to all political junkies that the House playing field may be far wider than most assumed even a few weeks ago. Childers's win in a northern Mississippi district that President Bush carried with 62 percent of the vote in 2004 came less than two weeks after a Democrat won a Louisiana special election in a district where Bush had taken 59 percent in his reelection bid.

With the winds of change blowing directly into Republicans' faces, here is a look at a handful of GOP-controlled seats that could feel the effects. Bush's 2004 vote percentage is in parentheses.

22. That is pretty low for a Democrat.
Even McSame is trying to distance himself from the loser Rove. I wonder when Hillary's transformation becomes complete and she announces herself as a republican.
