A call for peace.
The campaigns have been run.

As we wind up, we will have winners.

It hurts me to see vitriol from winners, and losers.

It hurts our party to see vitriol from winners, and losers.

It hurts our cause to see vitriol from winners, and losers.

So, it's time for another hug thread.

A big  To all those still fighting in the battles, and willing to drop their swords.

1. The fight isn't over
until there's one person left standing.

2. This isn't a cage match.
Millions have caucused and voted.

It's not one lone warrior standing, covered in blood.

It's about somebody winning, and the troops lining up behind them.

14. It didn't start out that way
but this thing can only be over one of two ways.

1) Hillary Clinton concedes.

2) The first vote at the convention puts Obama over the top as the nominee.

Until one of those two events happens, this fight is not over.

5. You might as well give up.
The Obama supporters aren't going to be able to stop their attacks. They've decided it's too much fun. I'm just waiting to see if Hillary supporters turn out in November. I'm not sure they will.

7. no, not fun...just frustrating knowing that people are wallowing around out
there still and not seeing the forest for the trees. At some point, you start giving up on them. Wrong, I know, but just plain head-shaking and eye-rolling.....

8. I'd love to see the civility come back- but just read the forum

I add about 15 people a day to ignore at this point. It's disgusting. I'm keeping then on there permanently since they showed who they really are in these primaries.

13. Calls for peace are somewhat shallow if...
...they're only made when winning is virtually certain.

It's basically saying "Now that I've won let's stop the nastiness that I depended on."

And the undertext is that when the going gets rough, those calling for "peace" will probably fight dirty again.

Also look at your post: "winners, and losers"

I'm sure Edwards supporters fall into your category of "loser", but from what I've seen on this board, and from his campaign, he didn't hurl the vitriol in the first place. So the "winners, and losers" configuration paints them undeservedly with the same brush.

This makes it so there's no negative expected value to flinging vitriol.

And anyway - How much does anyone want a hug from someone who refers to them as a "loser".
